๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐: The Marine Environmental Protection Enforcement and Response Group โ Northern Mindanao (MEPERG-NM) in partnership with the Marine Science Investigation Unit โ Northern Mindanao (MSIU-NM) successfully hosted a ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ (๐๐๐) ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฟr, 26 September 2025 at ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐น๐ฎโ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐น, ๐ง๐ฎ๐ด๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ฎ๐ป, ๐ ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ถ๐ ๐ข๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐น.
The activity focused on promoting greater awareness and responsiveness on issues of gender equality, the protection of women and children, and mental healthโprinciples that embody the Philippine Coast Guardโs commitment to holistic service and community development.
Key discussions were led by our esteemed guest lecturers: CDR CHERIE-ANN J CANATUAN PCG, who shared valuable insights on Mental Health Awareness and Stress Management, highlighting the significance of resilience, self-care, and emotional well-being both at work and in daily life and Atty. Khristine Kay M. Lazarito-Calingin, who delivered a comprehensive lecture on Gender Sensitivity and the Laws Protecting Women and Children, emphasizing the crucial role of law enforcement and advocacy in ensuring inclusivity and safeguarding rights.
This seminar provided personnel with essential knowledge and practical strategies to create a more supportive workplace, advance gender equality, and protect vulnerable Coastguardians in society.
With these efforts, we continue to strengthen a more inclusive, empowered, and service-driven Coast Guard community.
