LOOK | Barangay Sta. Ana Officially Declared Drug-Cleared
Barangay Sta. Ana, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental was officially declared Drug-Cleared by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region X on July 23, 2026, following its successful compliance with all requirements and the implementation of the Community-Based Rehabilitation Program (CBRP) for Persons Who Used Drugs (PWUDs).
The declaration marks a significant milestone in the Municipality of Tagoloan's continuing efforts to combat illegal drugs through collaborative governance, community participation, and sustained rehabilitation initiatives. It also reflects the collective commitment of the Local Government Unit of Tagoloan, the Barangay Sta. Ana Council, and partner agencies in promoting a safer, healthier, and drug-free community.
Present during the activity were Municipal Mayor Atty. Nadya B. Emano-Elipe, Hon. Elmo Ragandang, Tagoloan PNP Chief Enrique Francisco Dungog, MLGOO Maria Nilda C. Veloso, Municipal Health Officer Dr. Jennifer Advincula, ADAC Focal Person Ms. Ellah D. Oraiz, Ms. Angeli Estor, representatives from PDEA Region X, members of the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), and other partner stakeholders.
A Drug-Cleared status is conferred upon a barangay that has successfully complied with the government's standards in addressing illegal drugs, including the completion of intervention and rehabilitation programs for qualified Persons Who Used Drugs (PWUDs), the sustained implementation of anti-illegal drug initiatives, and the successful validation by the oversight committee composed of the PDEA, Philippine National Police (PNP), and other concerned agencies.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Tagoloan commends Barangay Sta. Ana, the Local Government Unit of Tagoloan, partner agencies, and the community for this remarkable achievement. May this milestone inspire the continued promotion of a peaceful, resilient, and drug-free municipality through unity, accountability, and shared responsibility.
