THANK YOU to the 286 selfless heroes who successfully donated blood today, July 15, 2026, at the Tagudin Farmers Civic Center. Every bag collected brings hope and a second chance at life to patients in need.This life-saving milestone was proudly spearheaded by the Municipal Health Office, headed by Dr. Richel Ann Carbonell-Dorao, and under the visionary leadership of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Ang HFMD ay isang nakahahawang sakit na karaniwang nakaaapekto sa mga bata. Ito ay maaaring magdulot ng lagnat, singaw o paltos sa bibig, at pantal o paltos sa kamay at paa.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Upang makaiwas:
โœ”๏ธ Ugaliing maghugas ng kamay gamit ang sabon at tubig.
โœ”๏ธ Panatilihing malinis ang mga laruan at iba pang madalas hawakan.
โœ”๏ธ Iwasang makisalamuha kung may sintomas ng HFMD.

The Tagudin Rural Health Unit proudly joins the nationwide observance of National Deworming Month, reaffirming our commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of every child in our community.

This initiative would not be possible without the invaluable support and collaboration of the Department of Education โ€“ Tagudin District, our dedicated school heads, teachers, parents, hardworking healthcare workers whose collective efforts ensure the safe and successful implementation of the deworming program.

Deworming is a simple yet effective intervention that helps protect children from intestinal parasitic infections, promoting better nutrition, healthy growth and development, improved learning, and overall well-being.

We encourage all parents and guardians to support this important health program and allow their eligible children to participate. Together, let us continue working hand in hand toward building a healthier, stronger, and brighter future for every child in Tagudin.

UNITED FOR A DRUG-FREE TAGUDIN! ๐Ÿ’™

In observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) 2026, the Local Government Unit of Tagudin, under the leadership of Mayor Evangeline I. Verzosa, through the Municipal Health Office headed by Dr. Richel Ann Dorao, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office I โ€“ Ilocos Sur Provincial Office and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), successfully conducted a series of meaningful activities to strengthen public awareness and reinforce the municipality's commitment to a drug-free community.

On June 25, 2026, Barangay Officials participated in a lecture on Section 21 of Republic Act No. 9165, facilitated by Atty. Gelaiza Lem B. Tique, Prosecution Attorney. The discussion enhanced participants' understanding on the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, particularly the proper handling of evidence and the importance of upholding the rule of law in the fight against illegal drugs.

On June 26, 2026, learners of Pudoc West Integrated School attended a Drug Awareness Lecture conducted by the PDEA RO1 โ€“ Ilocos Sur Provincial Office, equipping the youth with valuable knowledge on the harmful effects of illegal drugs and empowering them to make healthy and responsible life choices.

Complementing these educational initiatives was the Indak Kontra Droga, held on June 25, 2026, which gathered LGU employees, elected officials, and uniformed personnel in a vibrant display of unity, wellness, and shared commitment to promoting a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.

These activities reflect the unwavering dedication of the Municipality of Tagudin to preventing drug abuse through education, collaboration, and active community participation. Together, let us continue to inspire every Tagudinian to choose health, hope, and a future free from illegal drugs.

As part of the observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) 2026, a Zumba Activity will be conducted on June 25, 2026 (Thursday), at 4:30 PM at the Municipal Ground Hall.

This activity aims to promote a healthy, active, and drug-free lifestyle while strengthening unity and wellness among our public servants and partners.

Participants are encouraged to wear any shade of BLUE to show solidarity and support for the advocacy against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

Let us come together in support of the campaign against illegal drugs through fitness, camaraderie, and community engagement.

BARANGAY KONSULTA AT PUROKALUSUGAN NAKIISA SA SERBISYO CARAVAN SA BARANGAY PALLOGAN

Sa kabila ng maulang panahon, matagumpay na nakiisa ang Barangay Konsulta at PuroKalusugan Program ng Municipal Health Office sa isinagawang Serbisyo Caravan sa Barangay Pallogan Covered Court upang maihatid ang mahahalagang serbisyong pangkalusugan sa komunidad.

Sa kabuuan, 73 kliyente ang nabigyan ng iba't ibang serbisyong pangkalusugan kabilang ang konsultasyon, blood pressure monitoring, health education, at iba pang preventive health services.

Bilang bahagi ng aktibidad, nagsagawa rin ang health team ng recorida sa barangay upang maghatid ng mahahalagang impormasyon ukol sa pag-iwas sa dengue, ang nalalapit na Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA), at ang paparating na Blood Donation Activity. Layunin nito na mapalawak ang kamalayan ng publiko at hikayatin ang mas aktibong pakikilahok ng komunidad sa mga programang pangkalusugan.

Ang matagumpay na aktibidad na ito ay patunay ng patuloy na dedikasyon ng LGU Tagudin, sa pangunguna ni Mayor Evangeline Ingoy Verzosa, at ng Municipal Health Office sa pamumuno ni Dr. Richel Ann Carbonell, na mailapit ang dekalidad at makataong serbisyong pangkalusugan sa bawat mamamayan.

The Local Government Unit of Tagudin, through the Municipal Health Office, successfully conducted the Barangay Konsulta and PuroKalusugan Activity during the Serbisyo Caravan held at the Barangay Ambalayat Covered Court on June 23, 2026.

A total of 187 patients were served through various health services, including medical consultations, laboratory services, medicine dispensing, PhilHealth assistance, health education sessions, and screening services. As part of the municipalityโ€™s efforts to promote early detection and prevention of cancer, Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) for cervical cancer screening and Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) were also provided to eligible women.

To ensure that no one was left behind, the health team conducted house-to-house visits to provide healthcare services to bedridden patients and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) who were unable to attend the activity venue.

This successful undertaking reflects the commitment of the Local Government Unit of Tagudin under the leadership of Mayor Evangeline Ingoy Verzosa, together with the Municipal Health Office headed by Dr. Richel Ann Carbonell, in bringing accessible, equitable, and quality healthcare services closer to every community.

The Municipal Health Office extends its heartfelt gratitude to all partner agencies, barangay officials of Ambalayat headed by PB Jopatric Leal, healthcare workers, volunteers, and residents who contributed to the success of this activity.
