Philippine Energy Labeling Program - PELP Official platform for the Philippine Energy Labeling Program of the Philippine Department of Energy

Formulates policies, plans, and programs for the implementation, regulation, and enforcement of the Minimum Energy Performance (MEP) for Products, Energy Labeling, and other EE&C programs, as well as spearheads the development of the National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Database System, in accordance with the EE&C Act.

𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗞 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗘𝗟 | The DOE will launch the PELP Online Product Registration Modules for Electric Fans (EF) and Clothes Washing Machines (CWM). PELP Product Registration applications will be accepted starting 25 March 2024. All Importers, Manufacturers and Distributors of Electric Fan and Clothes Washing Machines are enjoined to register their respective product models through the PELP System (https://pelp.doe.gov.ph/).

In line with the implementation of Philippine Energy Labeling Program (PELP), we would like to remind all stakeholders that Enforcement activities for Lighting Products, Air Conditioners, Refrigerating Appliances and Television Sets Activity will start by March 2024. Under the PELP Implementing Guidelines, enforcement, monitoring and verification (EMV) activities, such as on-site inspections and tagging of market samples, will be conducted to ensure compliance to PELP Guidelines. All PELP Registered Companies (Lighting Products, Air Conditioners, Refrigerating Appliances and Television Sets), Dealers and Retailers (online and onsite) are enjoined to give their support and full cooperation in the conduct of these activities.

Department of Energy Conducts IEC for Dealers and Retailers of Energy Consuming Products (ECPs) in Legaspi, Albay.

The Energy Utilization Management Bureau - Energy Efficiency and Conservation Performance, Regulation and Enforcement Division (EUMB-EPRED) together with the implementing units of PELP, successfully held the campaign at Hotel St. Ellis Legaspi, Albay on 11 October 2022.

The highlight of the Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign covered topics which comprises the Overview and Updates on the Implementation of the Philippine Energy Labeling Program (PELP), Guidelines on Compliance Mechanism and Market Monitoring of ECPs, Energy Performance and DOE’s Energy Labeling Program.

The PELP aims to transform the market and encourage the shift in consumer behavior towards the use of energy efficient products and technologies by empowering them through the information displayed in the labels at points of sale.
