LOOK: Engr. John Kenneth Valerio, an S&T Fellow from the Department of Science and Technology–Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST-ITDI), joined the Isyu ng Bayan program of DWIZ 882 on June 14, 2026, to discuss the vital role of S&T Fellows in advancing innovation and national development.

During the interview, Engr. Valerio highlighted the responsibilities of S&T Fellows, emphasizing their contributions in providing technical expertise, driving research and development, and supporting innovation across key industries. He also underscored the importance of the semiconductor and electronics sector, one of the Philippines' leading export industries, and its significant contribution to the country's economic growth.

Moreover, Engr. Valerio shared insights on the competitiveness of the Philippines in the global electronics sector, noting the country's skilled workforce, growing technological capabilities, and continued efforts to strengthen the industry through research, innovation, and government support.

ICYMI: The BSP–S&T Fellows Collab sa NSTW 2025! Isang makabuluhang pagtitipon ang naganap sa 2025 National Science and Technology Week sa Laoag City, Ilocos Norte kung saan pinagsama ang talino, karanasan at malasakit ng ating mga eksperto.

Ipinakilala ang mga DOST-Balik Scientists at S&T Fellows na handang makipag-collab para sa mas inklusibo at progresibong agham. Ang NSTW ay hindi lang selebrasyon, kundi simula ng mas matibay na ugnayan sa pagitan ng agham at komunidad. Abangan pa ang mga susunod na collabs!
