🇳🇴 Still on a Norwegian seafood high!😋🍽️

In partnership with the Norwegian Seafood Council, we set up a Seafood Pavilion at the WOFEX last week that showcased the excellence in quality and sustainability of seafood from Norway. It was wonderful to see the growing interest of the Filipino food industry in fresh Norwegian salmon exports, especially as more chefs, retailers, and consumers discover its premium quality and culinary possibilities.

The event would not be complete without a vibrant spread of Norwegian Seafood featuring dishes with a Filipino twist like Salmon Sisig and Salmon Bicol Express enjoyed by industry partners and the public alike.

Thank you to everyone who visited the pavilion! We look forward to seeing even more Norwegian seafood on Filipino plates in the years ahead! 🇳🇴🇵🇭

An evening to celebrate decades of contributions by the Norwegian business community in the Philippines 🇳🇴🇵🇭

Ambassador Christian Halaas Lyster hosted a dinner reception to welcome H.E. Espen Barth Eide, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway. The event provided venue for the Foreign Minister to engage with the Norwegian companies.

Foreign Minister Eide acknowledged the important role of Norwegian businesses in furthering the diplomatic relations with the Philippines. He said “Through your active work here, we are able to diversify our channels of support, aligning business with diplomacy.”

The evening inspired continued dialogue and collaboration among public and private actors. We thank the Philippines Norway Business Council, headed by President Carl Martin Faannessen for their continued commitment to driving positive impact on the ground 🤝

Part of Norway’s priority agenda: Peace, stability, and security 🤝

In an insightful meeting, the Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide and Special Adviser to the President Antonio Ernesto F. Lagdameo Jr. discussed the ongoing peace processes in the Philippines. Norway has been a longstanding partner to the Philippines in peace and reconciliation.

The first historic election in the Bangsamoro will be a significant milestone. We are committed to assist in the last phase of the decommissioning. As the facilitator in the Communist process, we encourage the parties to finalize the Framework Agreement. We commend the Philippines for their steadfast commitment to peace.
