𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬,

Years from now, we hope you find your way back to this photograph.

Perhaps by then, some of the details will have faded. You may not remember every lecture, every activity, or every scientific term discussed throughout the week.

But we hope you remember what it felt like to spend five days asking questions, exploring new ideas, and discovering just how much there is to learn about the world around you.

Over the course of this camp, you spent a great deal of time looking into Earth’s past - examining meteorites older than civilisation, fossils from long-term extinct organisms, and processes that have shaped our planet for millions of years.

Yet for all the time we spent looking into the past, this camp was never really about the past - it was about the future.

The future questions you will ask.
The future ideas you will explore.
And the future paths that may begin with a curiosity you discovered here this week.

But for now, this is simply a group photo.

One day, however, we may encounter some of you again - in classrooms, field sites, laboratories, museums, offices, or places we cannot yet imagine. And when that day comes, we hope you remember that every journey begins somewhere.

Perhaps one of yours will begin here.

The camp may have had one program, but it was experienced in many different ways.

While campers shared the same lectures, activities, and discussions throughout the week, each participant brought home their own lessons, insights, and experiences. For some, it was also a chance to step outside their comfort zones, be away from home, and form new connections with their ates and kuyas from DOST-SEI and NMP.

Students Christian Hans R. Lapeciros of Samar National School and Elaine Grace C. Colarte of Abuyog National High School, and teacher-participant Mercedes Consus of Basey National High School shared their learnings as they look back on their Climate Science Youth Camp experience.

Their reflections speak to the many ways science can inspire curiosity, broaden perspectives, and leave a lasting impression on those willing to explore it.

At the heart of the Climate Science Youth Camp are the young learners who make the most of every opportunity to explore, ask questions, and discover.

Certificates were awarded to the 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 in recognition of their active participation and successful completion of the program.

Congratulations, campers! Your eagerness to learn, ask questions, and engage with unfamiliar topics demonstrated the very spirit of scientific inquiry. We celebrate your willingness to challenge yourselves and explore new ways of understanding the world around you.

Certificates of appreciation were awarded to the resource persons and facilitators from the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 of the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 in recognition of their contributions to the successful conduct of the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

Throughout the week, they shared their expertise through lectures, workshops, and hands-on activities that enriched the learning experience of our campers and helped deepen their understanding of Earth Science.

The DOST - Science Education Institute extends its sincere gratitude to the National Museum of the Philippines for its partnership and support in promoting science education among Filipino youth.
