Office of The Naval Adjutant (OTNA) to implement new SOP on issuance of AFP Identification Card this 2020
The Philippine Navy has a new SOP that prescribes policy, procedure and system governing the preparation, processing, issuance, use, accounting and disposal of new AFP Identification Cards. This system will now use pre-printed cards with 3D AFP seal hologram foil stamp to control access to military camps/bases, facilities and high-security areas.
The details of new SOP will be circulated this month:
> TNA shall implement the issuance of new Tri-Color AFPIC for PN active military personnel, Officer Candidates, Candidate Soldiers, Probationary Officers (P/2LT or P/ENS), PN Civilian Human Resource, Reservists, Direct dependents and Sons/Daughters.
> All PN Personnel applying for the new AFP ID with existing data on IPMS V12 and bearer of old AFP ID must ensure they have submitted their updated Military Personnel File (201 File) to this Office. Also, to surrender old AFP ID.
> Renewal of expired AFP ID will require updated 201 File, duly accomplished form and old ID.
> Replacement of loss or damaged AFP ID will require additional requirements such as Affidavit of loss duly notarized and/or Police blotter.
> Biometrics will be used to ensure the applicants’ true identity.
Meanwhile, OTNA will extend the validity of AFP ID up to the number of authorized years based on orders. AFP ID can be renewed even it is not yet expired if there are changes on personal details while replacement will be done if the card issued was loss or damage with corresponding charges.
