DOST SEI STEM Innovations DOST SEI STEM Innovations include Resources for Teaching and Learning, Models and Structures in STEM Education. These are:

DOST SEI STEM Innovations is the social media page of Science Education Institute (SEI) - SEID - Innovations Unit. It features all the Filipino-developed education technologies and teaching and learning resources in STEM produced and disseminated by SEI-SEID-IU. DOST Courseware in Science and Math (Grades 1-12)
2. Strategic Intervention Material for Teaching with Augmented Reality (SIMATAR)
4. Bukas-Tuklas
5. Siyensya-Bilidad
6. ARISE Portal
7. Virtual Laboratory Application in Science (VLAS)

Generally, these innovations aim for the following:

1. Take advantage of the information and communications technology in developing and promoting science and mathematics education in the Philippines

2. Give opportunity to Filipino learners and educators to experience state-of-the-art and up-to-date multimedia materials that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and virtual world exploration.

3. It indirectly helps children develop many fundamental skills such as reading, reasoning, decision-making, analysis, memorization, dexterity and computer literacy.

4. Provide teachers with alternative and exciting solutions/supplementary materials in teaching

5. Promote student-centered learning and or independent-learning among students.

6. Disseminate quality original Filipino-developed courseware materials in science and mathematics

7. Establish branding for the DOSTโ€™s software products

| Teachers from Quezon Science High School (QSHS) took center stage last October 10, 2026, for a hands-on seminar-workshop on 21st Century Learning Environment Model (CLEM) classroom sustainability, Department of Science and Technology - Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) educational tech, STEM teaching resources, and creative instructional tools for Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) 2026! ๐ŸŽ’๐Ÿ’ก

As the primary adopters of the new 21st CLEM facility, these educators are now better equipped to maintain digital learning environments and deliver engaging science lessons to their students.

| Students and teachers at Quezon Science High School (QSHS) dove into the world of innovation during the seminar-workshop on robotics coding, 3D modeling and printing, and drone technology last October 9, 2026, in celebration of Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week 2026!

This activity equipped participants with practical skills to bring modern technology into the classroom and beyond. ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒ

| Students from National University - Lipa Senior High School participated in the pilot testing of the Virtual Laboratory Application in Science (VLAS) Chemistry Module 8: Reaction Rates on September 16, 2026, in Lipa City, Batangas.

Through immersive VR and laptop-based activities, learners investigated how different factors influence the speed of chemical reactions while experiencing a dynamic virtual laboratory environment. Their feedback and insights will help guide the continuous enhancement of VLAS as a STEM teaching and learning resource.

The activity concluded the pilot testing of VLAS which also included Antipolo City National Science and Technology High School in August.

| Today's journey at RSTW MIMAROPA in Odiongan, Romblon was filled with exciting learning experiences through the RSTW MIMAROPA Human Wellbeing Cluster Exhibit and the DOST-SEI Making STEM Distinctly Filipino Seminar-Workshop.

Participants explored a variety of innovative teaching and learning resources, including STEM storybooks, Bukas-Tuklas, Virtual Laboratory Application in Science (VLAS), 21st Century Learning Environment Model (21st CLEM), and more, all designed to make STEM education engaging, interactive, and proudly Filipino.
