Two Hundred Ninety-One (291) Candidate Soldiers Begin Five-Month Military Training at 4th Division Training School

A total of 291 Candidate Soldiers—composed of 270 males and 21 females from Regions 9, 10, 11, and the Caraga Region—officially began their journey to military service during the Oath Taking Ceremony held on August 3, 2026, at the Headquarters, 4th Division Training School, Camp Osito D. Bahian, Malaybalay City.

The ceremony was led by Brigadier General Seigfred C. Tubalado, Commander of the 403rd Infantry "Peacemaker" Brigade, represented by Colonel Warren C. Munda, Deputy Brigade Commander. The oath-taking formally launched the candidates' five-month training, consisting of four months of Basic Military Training and a one-month Orientation Operations Course designed to prepare them for the current operational environment.

The new recruits earned their slots after successfully passing written examinations, medical evaluations, board interviews, and physical fitness tests. During the ceremony, Colonel Munda reminded them of their solemn duty to serve the nation with discipline, loyalty, and commitment.

The Candidate Soldier Course aims to develop competent, disciplined, multi-mission-ready, and cross-domain-capable soldiers. Through the program, the 4th Division Training School remains committed to transforming the new recruits into professional members of the Philippine Army dedicated to serving the Filipino people.

Davao de Oro Deploys 33 Community Support Personnel to Strengthen Peace Efforts

The Provincial Government of Davao de Oro, in partnership with the 25th Infantry (Fireball) Battalion and the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office (DDOPPO), deployed 33 Mobile Community Support Sustainment Team (MCSST) personnel during the Flag Raising Ceremony at the Provincial Capitol on August 3, 2026.

Governor Raul "RM" Mabanglo led the deployment of 27 personnel from the 25th Infantry Battalion and six from the DDOPPO. The teams will work with local government units and communities to strengthen government presence, support development initiatives, and sustain peace and stability across Davao de Oro through a whole-of-government approach.

10ID Supports BI Operation, Five Chinese Nationals Arrested in Agusan Sur

The 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, through the 67th Infantry Battalion (67IB), supported a Bureau of Immigration-led law enforcement operation that resulted in the arrest of five Chinese nationals for alleged immigration violations at Mayokada Enterprise Compound in Barangay Pulang Lupa, Trento, Agusan del Sur, on August 3, 2026.

The joint operation, conducted with intelligence and security agencies and local government partners, targeted alleged violations involving misrepresentation, fraud, and other offenses under Philippine immigration laws. The arrested foreign nationals are now under the custody of the Bureau of Immigration for investigation and the filing of appropriate charges.

The 67IB provided security and operational support to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the operation. Major General Alvin Luzon, Commander of the 10th Infantry Division, emphasized that the successful operation highlights the government's strong inter-agency collaboration in upholding national security, enforcing the rule of law, and ensuring compliance with Philippine immigration laws.

104IB RFGFPCC Campaign Leads to Voluntary Surrender of Loose Firearm in Siasi, Sulu

The sustained implementation of the Rido-Free, Gun-Free, and Peace-Centered Community (RFGFPCC) Campaign of the 104th Infantry “Para sa Bayan” Battalion under the 1102nd Infantry “Ganarul” Brigade led to the voluntary surrender of a loose firearm following an indiscriminate firing incident in Barangay Poblacion, Siasi, Sulu, on July 30, 2026.

Troops from the 104th Infantry Battalion, in coordination with the Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, and local government officials, swiftly responded to the incident, identified the suspect, and facilitated his peaceful apprehension. The suspect voluntarily surrendered one caliber .45 pistol with one magazine and one live round of ammunition during a formal turnover at the battalion headquarters.

Brig. Gen. Alaric Avelino P. Delos Santos, Commander of the 1102nd Infantry Brigade, said the accomplishment reflects the growing trust and cooperation between security forces and the community, highlighting the effectiveness of the RFGFPCC Campaign in promoting peaceful conflict resolution, encouraging the voluntary turnover of loose fi****ms, and strengthening peace and the rule of law in Sulu.

11ID Completes Riverine Operations Training to Strengthen Mission Readiness

The 11th Infantry "Alakdan" Division, Philippine Army successfully completed the Riverine Operations Training (ROT) Class 01-2026 from July 21 to August 3, 2026, in Barangay Bonbon, Patikul, Sulu, enhancing the operational capabilities of its troops for riverine and waterborne missions.

Conducted by the 11th Division Training School in partnership with the 6th Special Forces Battalion, the training equipped 70 personnel, including members of the Special Boat Unit II and infantry battalions, with essential skills in boat handling, waterborne tactics, troop insertion and extraction, navigation, tactical communications, and maritime safety.

During the closing ceremony, Lt. Col. Homer A. Estolas, Commandant of the 11th Division Training School, commended the graduates for their dedication and emphasized that the training strengthens discipline, teamwork, and decision-making in challenging operational environments.

The completion of ROT Class 01-2026 underscores the 11th Infantry Division's commitment to building highly trained, mission-ready forces capable of securing waterways, coastal areas, and island communities across its area of responsibility.

11th Infantry Division Boosts Operational Readiness with New Mobility Assets and Equipment

The 11th Infantry "Alakdan" Division, Philippine Army, strengthened its operational readiness after formally receiving new mobility assets, fi****ms, and quartermaster equipment during a blessing and turnover ceremony held on August 3, 2026, at Kuta Heneral Teodulfo Bautista, Jolo, Sulu.

Led by Major General Leonardo I. Peña, Commander of the 11th Infantry Division and Joint Task Force Orion, the ceremony underscored the Division's commitment to enhancing its mobility, firepower, and logistical capabilities in support of peace and security operations, humanitarian assistance and disaster response, and other mission-essential tasks.

The newly acquired assets were officially turned over to their respective units through a symbolic key handover. Maj. Gen. 25IB Honors Agila Patrol Challenge 2026 Participants with Heroes' Welcome

The 25th Infantry (Fireball) Battalion, 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, Philippine Army, welcomed home its male and female contingents following their participation in the Agila Patrol Challenge 2026, held from July 26 to August 1, 2026. The Heroes' Welcome recognized the troops' courage, resilience, and dedication after completing the Division's rigorous seven-day military competition.

Throughout the challenge, the Fireball troopers demonstrated endurance, teamwork, discipline, and leadership while overcoming demanding physical and mental tests. The Battalion emphasized that the experience strengthened the participants' skills and operational readiness, regardless of the competition's results.

Upon their return, fellow Fireball soldiers warmly received the contingents, highlighting the Battalion's commitment to honoring service, fostering excellence, and preparing capable soldiers dedicated to protecting the people and securing the land.

Government troops neutralized three members of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) during an armed encounter in Barangay Bonglo, Licuan-Baay, Abra on 04 August 2026.

Soldiers recovered two (2) M16 rifles and one (1) M14 rifle from the encounter site. Following the clash, additional military units established blocking positions, secured the area, and conducted clearing operations to prevent the escape of remaining CTG members.
