THE MEN BEHIND EVERY MISSION
Honoring the Men Who Serve, Lead, and Inspire

The Naval Combat Engineering Brigade joined the nation in the observance of Men's Health Month 2026 with the theme, "All Hands Empowerment: Advancing Men's Health for Mission Readiness and Stronger Families," and the subtheme, "Serving with Honor, Leading at Home, Mentoring the Future."

The activity was attended by Brigade Commander, Commodore Jeff Rene S. Nadugo PN, and highlighted by the video message of the Flag Officer In Command, Philippine Navy, Vice Admiral Jose Ma. Ambrosio Q. Ezpeleta PN, who emphasized the importance of promoting men's health, mental wellness, responsible fatherhood, positive masculinity, and stronger family relationships as essential elements of mission readiness.

A special Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP), entitled "The Men Behind Every Mission: Honoring the Men Who Serve, Lead, and Inspire," was likewise presented, recognizing the invaluable contributions of the men of the Brigade. The AVP highlighted their roles not only as military professionals and public servants but also as fathers, husbands, brothers, mentors, and leaders whose dedication, sacrifice, and commitment contribute significantly to the success of every mission and the strength of the organization.
As we celebrate Men's Health Month, let us continue to foster a culture that values wellness, resilience, and mutual support, recognizing that caring for our people strengthens our families, our organization, and our nation.

Strong for the Mission.
Strong for the Family.
Strong for the Future.

On 26 May 2026, the Naval Combat Engineering Brigade marked a significant milestone with the Closing Ceremony of the Instructor's Qualification Course (IQC), a transformative program designed to develop military professionals who will serve as instructors, mentors, and leaders in shaping future generations of Philippine Navy personnel.

Twenty-three (23) students, composed of twenty-one (21) male instructors and two (2) female instructors, successfully completed the course under the leadership of MAJ Sherhannah S. Paiso PROF, Course Director, and PO1 Leo C. Ricablanca PN, Assistant Course Director. Through rigorous training, practical application, and professional development, the graduates were equipped with the competencies, confidence, and character essential to effective instruction and mentorship.

The closing ceremony was graced by COMMODORE Jeff Rene S. Nadugo PN, Commander, Naval Combat Engineering Brigade, who served as the Keynote Speaker. In his inspiring message, he emphasized that while many are blessed with knowledge and skills, not everyone is given the heart to teach and educate. He reminded the graduates that true instruction extends far beyond lesson plans, instructional materials, presentations, and teaching methodologies. Rather, it is rooted in one's willingness to serve, commitment to excellence, and passion for developing others.
He further underscored that the influence of an instructor extends well beyond the classroom. While students may not remember every lesson taught, they will always remember the sincerity, patience, guidance, and example demonstrated by those who taught them. More than earning a certificate or qualifying to wear the Philippine Navy Instructor Badge, becoming an instructor means embracing the profound responsibility of shaping minds, building character, and preparing future leaders for service to the nation.

Describing the Instructor's Qualification Course as a transformative journey, Commodore Nadugo challenged the graduates to carry their newly acquired knowledge and skills with humility, dedication, and purpose. He encouraged them to continue shaping their students with integrity and passion, recognizing that every lesson delivered, every skill imparted, and every life influenced contributes to the strength and future success of the organization.
As these newly qualified instructors return to their respective units, they carry with them a mission greater than themselves to educate, inspire, and lead. For behind every competent Sailor, every capable leader, and every successful mission stands an instructor whose dedication helped make it possible.

Congratulations to the graduates of the Instructor's Qualification Course Class 2026.

"The future of the Philippine Navy will not only be led by its leaders, but also shaped by its instructors."

From Water to Life: Creating Green Impact Through Innovation

In line with our commitment to environmental stewardship and climate action, the Naval Combat Engineering Brigade successfully conducted a Water Bonsai Making Activity on 23 April 2026, participated in by personnel from various Battalion Units and Brigade Staff.

Through teamwork and creativity, a total of 35 water bonsai were skillfully fabricated each one reflecting discipline, patience, and our shared responsibility to nurture life even in the simplest forms.
This initiative showcases the innovative use of treated water enriched with vitamins through the Amazing Powder Grower, promoting sustainable plant care while enhancing plant growth and vitality. It highlights how simple yet science-based solutions can contribute to a healthier and greener environment.
Aligned with the campaign โ€œBawat Tanggapan May Halaman,โ€ this activity reinforces our role not only as defenders of the nation but also as stewards of the environment. In the face of climate change, every plant we grow becomes a step toward restoring ecological balance, improving air quality, and strengthening environmental awareness within our community.

Together, we plant the seeds of change today for a greener tomorrow.
