In Support of Environmental Protection and Community Service

Charlie Company, 1st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn), led by 2LT Noriel T Tebelin, PA (Res), together with other Reservists personnel of the 1303rd CDC, joined forces with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) under POI Crosby T Monton and the Barangay Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council (BFARMC), led by Sgt Gelbert A. Arevalo, PA (Res), for a Clean-Up Drive on 02 August 2026 at Carzo Complex, Barangay Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Together, the team collected 65 sacks of assorted waste, helping prevent debris from clogging waterways and drainage systems, reducing flood risk, and protecting marine and aquatic ecosystems in the area. Beyond the visible clean surroundings, this effort supports the long-term health of the community's environment and the safety and well-being of its residents.

This joint activity reflects the strength of the partnership between the Philippine Coast Guard and the Army Reserve Force, working hand in hand with local stakeholders in fulfillment of the mandate under Republic Act No 7077 to build a capable, ready, and community-engaged reserve force โ€” one that serves the nation not only in times of crisis, but in the everyday work of protecting our communities and natural resources.
More than a duty, this was an act of volunteerism โ€” reservists and partner agencies giving their time and effort freely, driven by a shared commitment to service above self.

With heartfelt gratitude to our leaders COL Maria Victoria I Blancaflor, MNSA (ARM), PA, Group Commander, NCRRCDG, COL Abraham M Gallangi Jr GSC (INF), PA, CDC Director, LTC Leilanie F Casa MNSA, PA (Res), Battalion Commander, MSgt Gerry M De Mesa, CDC Chief Clerk, and the entire CDC support team for their guidance and steadfast support.

COURTESY CALL: Bravo Company Visits DRRMO Paraรฑaque City ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

On June 23, 2026, key officers from 1st RRIBn, 1303rd Community Defense Center paid a courtesy call to the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) of Paraรฑaque City, led by LTC LEILANIE F CASA (MNSA) PA (RES), Battalion Commander, together with MSG GERRY DE MESA (Inf) PA, 1303 CDC NCRRCDG.

The visit, spearheaded by Bravo Company Commander CPT NESTOR C ROQUE PA (RES) and Executive Officer 1LT FILIPINA B MOGADO PA (RES), aimed to strengthen coordination ahead of the unitโ€™s upcoming Change of Command, and to reaffirm the reservistsโ€™ commitment to joint humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) initiatives with local government partners.
The activity reflects the continuing partnership between the Army Reserve Command and local DRRM offices โ€” building stronger, more responsive communities together. ๐Ÿค
