Taguig Convention Center
May 19, 2026
The City Government of Taguig, through the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), in partnership with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), conducted the Gender Sensitivity Training 2026, with the theme Together for Lasting Change: Strengthening Child Protection with R.A. 7610 and R.A. 11930.
This yearโs program highlights two landmark laws:
โข R.A. 7610 โ Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act (1992), which safeguards children from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and discrimination.
โข R.A. 11930 โ Anti-OSAEC and Anti-CSAEM Act (2022), which criminalizes online sexual abuse and exploitation of children, strengthening protection against digital threats.
The training reaffirms the cityโs commitment to gender equality and child protection, equipping employees with knowledge of policies, programs, and responsibilities under these laws.
The event was graced by City Mayor Hon. Maria Laarni L. Cayetano, City Administrator Dr. Cecilia R. Montales, and City Councilors Hon. Jaime Labampa, Hon. Ed Prado and Hon. Nicky Supan, whose presence underscored the cityโs strong leadership support for advancing child protection and gender sensitivity initiatives.
As a special treat, participants celebrating their birthdays in May enjoyed a day-long session filled with learning, fellowship, a hearty meal, and delightful surprises.
