LOOK | Assault Armor Battalion Change of Command Ceremony

The Assault Armor Battalion proudly conducted its Change of Command Ceremony on 18 July 2026 at the Philippine Navy Officers' Club, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The ceremony was presided by BGEN ARMANDO B CUSTODIO PN(M), Commander, Combat Support Brigade. During this significant occasion, LTCOL MARIA ROWENA A MUYUELA PN(M) formally relinquished command and responsibilities to LTCOL BERYL CHARITY T BACOLCOL PN(M)(GSC), signifying a seamless and distinguished transition of leadership within the battalion.

The Change of Command Ceremony is a time-honored military tradition that reflects the Philippine Marine Corps' enduring commitment to leadership continuity, operational readiness, and mission excellence.

As the battalion welcomes its new Commanding Officer, the Assault Armor Battalion remains steadfast in its commitment to providing responsive, reliable, and combat-ready armored support in fulfilling the Philippine Marine Corps' mission.

| PMC Maintenance & Repair Personnel Joins PNSEMIS Training & Workshop |

On July 07-09 2026, representatives from office MC11, SSgt Roderic M Austria PN(M), SSgt Ramirez C Panizales PN(M) and Cpl Franklin A Gorospe PN(M) together with Sgt Rommel A Salunoy PN(M) from MCABBn, Sgt John Michael U Budol PN(M) from FRR, Sgt Dalia A Mesa PN(M) from CEBn, and Cpl Oliver M Busania PN(M) from AABn, successfully participated in the Philippine Navy Systems Engineering Management Information System (PNSEMIS) Training and Workshop conducted at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Naval Station Pascual Ledesma, Cavite City.
The three-day training covered the dissemination of relevant policies, lectures on PNSEMIS Version 4.0, hands-on system training and data encoding, as well as the finalization and presentation of unit outputs. These activities enhanced the participants' knowledge and technical proficiency in the proper utilization, management, and continuous monitoring and keeping the data and informations in the system are all updated. PNSEMIS is a centralized database used by the Navy and its units to store and track data on naval systems engineering, primarily managing repair, maintenance, and material management operations for its vessels/boats.
The training underscores the Philippine Navy's commitment to strengthening personnel competency and promoting accurate, reliable, and efficient systems management in support of mission readiness and organizational effectiveness.

The Philippine Marine Corps, through the AC of MS for Maintenance and Repair Afloat, MC11 under the leadership of COL KRISTINE B SALON PN(M)(GSC), successfully conducted the Two-Day Planned Maintenance System (PMS), Carry-On-Board Spares (COBS), and Readily Available Spares (RAS) Formulation Workshop 2026 on June 29-30, 2026 at the SNCOs Club, MBRB, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. The workshop was attended by the personnel from Force Reconnaissance Regiment (FRR), Marine Corps Assault Boat Battalion (MCABBn), Assault Armor Battalion (AABn), Marine Corps Engineering Battalion (MCEBn), and Marine Rifle Battalions (MRBn) 4, 6, 9, and 10 in a collaborative effort to enhance the maintenance and sustainment capabilities of the Philippine Marine Corps' afloat assets.

The two-day activity featured the formulation of each unit's PMS, COBS, and RAS, complemented by informative lectures delivered by subject matter experts. LCDR BELLY RICK S VIRAY PN, Chief of the Surface Assets Maintenance Branch, discussed the principles and implementation of the PMS, COBS, and RAS. Meanwhile, CPT FRANCO AVELLO A HILOTIN PN(M), Chief of the Capability Branch of MC6, presented the Communication and Navigation Systems of PMC Afloat Assets. The participants also gained valuable insights from Mr. Ricardo Pascua, PMC System Developer and Consultant, who discussed the Philippine Marine Corps Inventory System.

The workshop aims to produce a comprehensive PMS, COBS, and RAS framework that will serve as the basis for programming the spare parts requirements for the repair and maintenance of Philippine Marine Corps afloat assets for Calendar Year 2028. This initiative underscores the Philippine Marine Corps' continuing commitment to enhancing operational readiness through proactive planning, effective resource management, and sustained capability development.

The Office MC11, headed by COL KRISTINE B SALON PN(M)(GSC), successfully conducted a two-day Deploy Sustain Repair Train (DSRT) Workshop for PMC Amphibious and Floating Assets on June 25-26, 2026 at Ogbinar Hall, Philippine Navy Golf Course, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The workshop focused on the revision of the Depot-Level Maintenance (DLM) SOP and the update and validation of the DSRT Program for CY 2028โ€“2033. It gathered maintenance and repair officers, logistics officers, and NCOs from the Force Reconnaissance Regiment (FRR), Marine Corps Assault Boat Battalion (MCABBn), Assault Armor Battalion (AABn), Marine Corps Engineering Battalion (MCEBn), and representatives from MC3, MC4, MC6, and MC8.

From June 18 to 21, 2026, the Office MC11 led by COL KRISTINE B SALON PN(M)(GSC) alongside Chief Repair, MAJOR JULITO O ABALOS JR PN(M), Chief Maintenance & Sustainment MAJOR LADYBETH B ALAGASI PN(M), Structural Inspector SSgt Steve Lawrence A Mangulabnan PN(M), Electrical Inspector Cpl Reyllan M Dillera PN(M) and Machinery Inspector Mr. Henson Anjo C Casabuena (Civilian Employee), successfully conducted a series of site visits and inspections across Maguindanao.

The team inspected the MCABBn maintenance and repair facilities at H5MRBn in Brgy. Penansaran, Datu Blah Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Sur, to assess its structural and operational integrity. Additionally, an ocular inspection was held at Brgy. Magsaysay, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte, the future site of the proposed MCABBn Boat House. These efforts are vital in sustaining the maintenance and repair requirements of the Philippine Marine Corps' Afloat Assets.

To further ensure operational efficiency, the team also conducted Pre-Overhaul Test and Inspections (POT&I) on various floating assets. The data gathered will form the foundation of comprehensive work packages, ensuring our vessels are primed and ready for their scheduled repairs.

The five-day YANMAR Engine Training Program was attended by personnel from Office of M&RA MC11, SSgt Steve Lawrence A Mangulabnan PN(M) and Mr Henson Anjo C Casabuena (Civilian Employee) together with SSgt Eugine Romeo PN(M), MCABBn personnel sponsored by Philippine Marine Corps and with them are three (3) Philippine Navy personnel. The program successfully provided participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in engine operation, maintenance, and servicing.

Day 1 focused on lectures and theoretical sessions covering YANMAR engine design, operating principles, system functions, maintenance schedules, troubleshooting techniques, and workplace safety standards. This established a strong technical foundation and reinforced the importance of every maintenance procedure.

Days 2 to 4 featured intensive hands-on training where participants applied their knowledge through general engine system servicing, diagnostics, piston assembly, disassembly and reassembly, and flywheel inspection. Through these practical exercises, participants developed technical skills in inspection, measurement, fault diagnosis, precision assembly, the safe handling of critical engine components, and adherence to proper maintenance practices.

Day 5 concluded the program with assessments, evaluations, and a graduation ceremony.
We extend our appreciation to all participants, trainers, and organizers for making this program a success. This experience will strengthen their commitment to technical excellence, safety, and professional development in engine maintenance and service.

May 28, 2026 marked the 7th Activation Day celebration of the Office of Maintenance and Repair Afloat, MC11. This milestone, held at PNGC, NSJF, Taguig City, was marked with meaningful activities that strengthened camaraderie, teamwork and organizational pride.
During the program, the CO, MCABBn, LTCOL REYMUND E TERIO PN(M) and CO, MCEBn, LTCOL JAYSON K FRIAS PN(M) shared their greetings.

One of the highlights of the event was the audio visual presentation of the officeโ€™s history, reflecting the milestones, dedication, and collective efforts that shaped M&RA, MC11 through the years. The celebration also included a raffle draw and various interactive games, which provided entertainment and enjoyment for all attendees, team members and as well as the AC of MS for M&RA, MC11, COL KRISTINE B SALON PN(M)(GSC).

The said event featured a denim-themed attire, wherein MAJ LADYBETH B ALAGASI PN(M) and LTCOL JAYSON K FRIAS PN(M) were judged as the M&R Stars of the Night for their outstanding participation.

This memorable occasion truly showcased the commitment, enthusiasm, and strong spirit of the entire PMC, ONSE Family as they continue to work together toward excellence and great service.

The two-day Maintenance and Repair Afloat Family Conference was successfully conducted on May 28โ€“29, 2026 at PNGC, NSJF, Taguig City. MC11 personnel facilitated the said activity under the leadership of the AC of MS for Maintenance and Repair Afloat, MC11, COL KRISTINE B SALON PN(M)(GSC), with the participation of personnel from MCABBn headed by CO, MCABBn, LTCOL REYMUND E TERIO PN(M), MCEBn personnel headed by CO, MCEBn, LTCOL JAYSON K FRIAS PN(M) together with AABn, FRR, 10MRBn, 9MRBn and 6MRBn personnel.

The conference served as a venue to strengthen coordination, improve capability of maintenance personnel and enhance understanding on key maintenance and repair concerns through discussions on the dissemination of Maintenance and Repair Directives, revised SOP on Sea Duty Pay, capability assessment on DOTMPLF of afloat assets with presentation of outputs, discussion of problems encountered in the preparation of Bidding Documents and presentation of supporting documents for Small Value Procurement.

This Family Conference reaffirmed the commitment of all participating units toward improving operational readiness, efficiency and effective mission support for afloat maintenance and repair operations.
