PHILIPPINES SEISMIC ACTIVITY SUMMARY: OCTOBER 25, 2026
Good morning. Our monitoring teams—Alindog, Alat, Alon, and Alab from Init! Pilipinas—have been closely tracking seismic activity and associated environmental conditions across the archipelago over the past 24 hours.
Our teams tracked 64 earthquakes today, with an average Magnitude of 2.5 across all recorded events. Most of these tremors occurred at shallow levels, with 58 events located between 0 and 35 kilometers deep. Four events were classified as intermediate depth between 35 and 70 kilometers, and two were deep events exceeding 70 kilometers.
ACTIVITY HIGHLIGHTS:
- The strongest event recorded was a Magnitude 7.0 tremor logged at 10:27 AM.
- The most active geographic cluster occurred in the Municipality of Sarangani, Davao Occidental, where our instruments detected 19 earthquakes, primarily centered off the waters of Balut Island and Sarangani Island. Other minor, localized movements were monitored in parts of Davao Oriental, Isabela, and surrounding coastal regions.
