Dr. Benjamin S. Reyno of the Provincial Veterinarian's Office attended the Regional Consultative Meeting and Planning Workshop with provincial, city, and municipal agriculturists, as well as provincial and city veterinarians to strengthen coordination and improve the delivery of agricultural programs and services in the region, the Department of Agricultureโ Davao Region (DA-11), through its Field Operations Division (FOD), on May 19โ20, 2026 at Davao City.
The activity focused on operational plans for the Departmentโs Banner Programs and on key concerns related to ongoing agricultural initiatives, including projects under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) and Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP).
DA-11 Regional Executive Director Macario D. Gonzaga emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships between the Department and Local Government Units (LGUs).
โStrong collaboration with our Local Government Units remains essential in bringing programs and interventions closer to our farmers and fisherfolk. Through strengthened partnerships, coordination, and shared commitment, we can ensure that agricultural services are delivered efficiently and create a greater impact on the communities we serve,โ Gonzaga said.
Meanwhile, Field Operations Division Chief Engr. Lorenzo M. Bermillo also underscored the importance of sustained coordination and planning among stakeholders to improve the implementation of agricultural programs and services across the region.
โThis planning workshop serves as an important avenue to align our priorities, address operational concerns, and strengthen collaboration with our local government partners; so we can further improve the implementation of programs and ensure that services and interventions are delivered efficiently to our farmers and fisherfolk,โ Bermillo said.
Through activities like this, DA-11 strengthens collaboration with local stakeholders and improves coordination so agricultural programs and interventions reach and benefit farming communities across the region.
