Gipangulohan mismo ni Yuko Takahashi ang workshop, uban sa partnership sa City Tourism, Arts, Culture and Heritage Management Office (CTACHMO), diin gipaambit sa mga ballet artist ang ilang mga kaalam, teknik, ug artistry sa ballet aron mas mapalambo ang abilidad ug kahibalo sa mga lokal nga mananayaw ug choreographers sa syudad.

Gipartiseparan ang maong pagbansay gikan sa Tagum City National High School (TCNHS), Davao del Norte State College (DNSC), En Avant Dance Centre, Allegro Academy Davao, ug St. Thomas Montessori School.

A glimpse into a beautiful afternoon of movement, artistry, and cultural exchange as the 𝗬𝘂𝗸𝗼 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 brought Japanese Modern Ballet to Tagum City! 🇯🇵🇵🇭

From learning new movements to sharing the joy of dance, the first day of workshop at 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗺 was filled with energy, creativity, and meaningful connections.

We were honored to welcome 𝗠𝘀. 𝗬𝘂𝗸𝗼 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺, with the support of the Tagum Tourism Council, represented by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗡𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮, who delivered the message of Council President 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗮 𝗟. 𝗨𝘆.

Ang proposed Cultural Hub usa ka inisyatibo nga nagtumong sa pagpreserbar ug pagpasiugda sa nagkadaiyang cultural heritage sa Mindanao. Gilaraw kini isip sentro alang sa cultural education, artistic expression, ug cultural activities, ug usa ka potensyal nga destinasyon alang sa mga turista, scholars, artists, ug cultural practitioners.

Ang maong konsepto usa ka “generic proposal” nga mahimong ikonsiderar sa bisan unsang siyudad o munisipyo sa Davao Region nga adunay kaandam ug kapasidad sa pagtukod sa maong cultural facility.
Nahisgutan usab ang mga potensyal nga oportunidad alang sa pagpalig-on sa turismo ug kultura sa rehiyon, lakip ang mga inisyatibo nga makahatag og dugang nga plataporma sa pagpreserbar sa heritage, pagpalambo sa local arts, ug pagpasiugda sa cultural identity sa Mindanao.

Gipakita usab niini ang padayon nga panagtinabangay sa DOT ug mga local stakeholders, lakip ang LGU-Tagum, sa pagpalambo sa turismo ug kultura isip importanteng bahin sa sustainable development sa Davao Region.

A beautiful afternoon of movement, artistry, and cultural exchange unfolded earlier at 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗺 as we welcomed the 𝗬𝘂𝗸𝗼 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 for their first 𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 in the city. 🇯🇵✨

The workshop brought together dance enthusiasts and participants who had the opportunity to learn, move, and experience the unique artistry of Japanese Modern Ballet—making it a meaningful space for cultural appreciation and creative expression.

Creating opportunities beyond borders, Tagum City continues to strengthen its position as one of the country's premier durian destinations through meaningful international collaboration.

Last 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 3, 2026, representatives from the 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺, 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 and the 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 met with 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗱𝗱𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗵, 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹, to discuss initiatives that will benefit the city's growing durian industry.

One of the major prospects explored during the meeting was a proposed 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 between Malaysia and the City Government of Tagum. The initiative aims to equip local durian growers with updated knowledge, innovative farming techniques, and industry best practices through technical exchanges and possible benchmarking visits to leading durian plantations in Malaysia.

The delegation, headed by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗮 𝗟. 𝗨𝘆, Chairperson of the Tagum City Tourism, Arts, and Culture Council, together with officers of the 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 led by 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗼 𝗔𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗻, also formally invited the Malaysian Consulate to participate in this year's 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹, highlighting the celebration as a platform for promoting stronger agricultural and cultural partnerships.

With this, the Malaysian Consul General invited the Tagum delegation to take part in the upcoming 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 (𝗠𝗔𝗛𝗔) 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, one of Malaysia's largest agricultural showcases. The opportunity is expected to help introduce Tagum's premium durian to a wider international audience while opening doors for future collaborations in agriculture, tourism, and trade.

With shared goals of innovation, knowledge exchange, and sustainable agricultural development, Tagum City continues to cultivate partnerships that empower local growers and reinforce the city's reputation as home to one of the finest durian industries in the region.

The journey doesn't end when the competition is over—it opens the door to even greater opportunities.

Last 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 1, 2026, following the 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 (𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗔) 2026 during the 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗚𝗲𝗻 celebration, 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗼𝗻, the 2024 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆'𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻, once again took center stage with 𝙄𝙡𝙖𝙬𝙤𝙢 𝙨𝙖 𝙢𝙜𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙙 𝙨𝙖 𝘽𝙪𝙨𝙖𝙤𝙣: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 at the GovGen Tourism Complex.

This special performance marked the performers' first public appearance after Barangay Musikahan, allowing them to share their talent with a wider audience and prove that the artistry cultivated in our barangays continues to flourish beyond the competition.

Through music, theater, and storytelling, the cast delivered a heartfelt performance that reflected the creativity, passion, and vibrant cultural spirit of Tagum City.
