Rehabilitation of Children in Conflict with the Law states that Children in conflict with the law, whose sentences are suspended, may upon order of the court, undergo any or a combination of disposition measures best suited to the rehabilitation and welfare of the child as provided in the Supreme Court Rule on Juveniles in Conflict with the Law. ..."

Blessing and Turn-Over of 1 unit Day Care Center on May 10, 2023 at Barangay Desamparados of this municipality; funded by JPIC-IDC, Inc. - a faith-based non-government organization.

A total of 1.2M worth project including the indoor and outdoor equipments/facilities.

The said activity was presented by Hon. Mila M. Madelo representing the Hon.Mayor Pauline Marie R. Masendo, RN; Hon. Catherine O. Sauro, SBM; Sir Hector Bianet of PSWDO-PGAS; Ma'am Rosenanerie G. Morano, ECCD Focal of MSWDO-Talacogon; Hon.Punong Barangay Richard B. Amado and the JPIC--IDC, Inc. Early Childhood Education (ECE) Project Director Fr. Anthony S. Salas, SVD.

Again, thank you JPIC-IDC for giving the chance to consider Barangay Desamparados as one of your ECE Project recipient.

DSWD Social Pension Pay-oit

Well distributed to 2,394 out 2,479 social pensioners with a total of 96.6% accomplishment in the municipality by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

An additional government assistance under RA 9994 intended to provide financial assistance for their basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, and medicine.

DSWD-AICS Distribution to 40 families of Sitio Tumalog, Zillovia, TADS

As result of Hon. Mayor Pauline R. Masendo's recommendation and validated by the department to reach and serve the Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA)- the Tumalog community.

A 5,000.00 per beneficiary was granted with a total of 200,000.00 taken from Mr.Malasakit- Sen. B**g Go funds to BM Jesryl E. Masendo thru AICS Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The MSWDO and PESO Office of Talacogon successfully facilitated the DSWD-AICS and DOLE-TUPAD Pay-out attended by the highest officials of the Province of Agusan del Sur; Hon. Adolph Edward"Eddie B**g" G. Plaza- Representative, District 2, Hon. Alfel Bascug- Representative District 1, Gov. Santiago B. CANE, Jr- Governor, Hon. Samuel Tortor- Vice Gov., Hon Board Members; the local officials headed by Hon. Mayor Pauline Marie Masendo , Hon.Vice Mayor Melchor Demegillo, and Hon. Sangguniang Bayan Members of the municipality.

The implementation of these programs are advantaged mostly to the informal sectors who are struggling to make ends meet due to current economic crisis.

A total of 200 beneficiaries of DSWD-AICS and 120 beneficiaries of DOLE-TUPAD received the cash assistance and wages for the short-term emergency employment generation.

Facilitated the minor who travelled from Quezon City to Nasipit Port, Agusan del Sur. He was temporarily sheltered at City Social Welfare Office, Quezon City for almost a month.

The said minor was formally turned-over to his family; after days of coordination with CSWDO of Quezon City.

A well-done undertaking with WCPDO and the Social Welfare Officer Bar's Laurel Sheryl Lyn Salmorin-Galdiano ; under the supervision of our supportive mayor Hon. Pauline Marie Masendo
