MOO Talacogon with its graceful Team Leader May Ann Armodia Demata & energetic Deputy Team Leader Princess Leolyn Balacuit together with the convergence team continuously lobbied to LGU Talacogon every Municipal Convergence Advisory Committe (MCAC) meeting, LGU support services in various program implementation of DSWD in the areas served in the Municipality of Talacogon. One of this is the
LGU Support Aftercare Program/Services: Empowering Graduated 4Ps Beneficiaries, brainchild of bubbly ML Shiela Wariza Bauson-Espinosa and agreed by all as part of the intervention plan to graduated beneficiaries towards self-reliance and continuity of their level of well-being as self sufficiency with the passing of the Municipal Resolution 203, series of 2023, "A Resolution Providing Support/Assistance & Aftercare Programs/Services to Exited/Graduated the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program Beneficiaries of The Municipality of Talacogon.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) Support Aftercare Program is an essential initiative aimed at empowering graduated 4Ps beneficiaries to successfully transition into self-sufficiency and sustained progress. This program is crucial because it recognizes that the journey towards long-term development does not end when a family graduates from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). Instead, it acknowledges that these families need continuous support and guidance to ensure their newfound stability flourishes into sustainable prosperity.

One of the primary objectives of the LGU Support Aftercare Program is to facilitate the integration of graduated 4Ps beneficiaries into mainstream society. Understanding that these families may still face challenges even after leaving the program, the LGU extends its commitment by providing them with financial, educational, and livelihood assistance. By doing so, the LGU ensures that these families continue to receive the necessary resources to improve their living conditions and enhance their quality of life.

Furthermore, the LGU Support Aftercare Program plays an essential role in fostering self-sufficiency among graduated 4Ps beneficiaries. By providing them with livelihood opportunities and entrepreneurial training, the program equips these families with the necessary skills and knowledge to engage in income-generating activities. This, in turn, allows them to become self-reliant, reducing their dependence on government aid and fostering a sense of pride and dignity.

Convergence among different government agencies is key to the success of the LGU Support Aftercare Program. Collaboration between the LGU, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and other relevant agencies is crucial in ensuring that graduated 4Ps beneficiaries receive comprehensive support. Each agency brings its own expertise and resources to the table, allowing for a convergence of efforts that addresses the various needs and challenges faced by these families.

Moreover, convergence enables a holistic and well-rounded approach to support graduated 4Ps beneficiaries. It ensures that programs are not limited to financial assistance but also encompass education, skills training, job placement, and entrepreneurship. By addressing multiple aspects of development, the LGU Support Aftercare Program encourages long-term sustainability and prevents families from slipping back into poverty.

The LGU Support Aftercare Program is not just about providing immediate relief but rather focuses on long-term development and empowerment. It recognizes that the journey towards prosperity is continuous and requires ongoing support, guidance, and opportunities. By investing in graduated 4Ps beneficiaries, the LGU demonstrates its commitment to enabling these families to break the cycle of poverty and create a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

In conclusion, the LGU Support Aftercare Program for graduated 4Ps beneficiaries is of utmost importance. By providing continuous support, empowerment, and convergence of efforts among government agencies, this program enables these families to thrive and become self-sufficient. It serves as an example of how local governments can make a lasting impact on the lives of their constituents, ensuring that the progress achieved through the 4Ps program is sustained and manifested in the transformation of individuals and communities.

This initiative would not have been possible without the constant support of Hon. Mayor Pauline Marie S. Masendo, Vice Mayor Melchor Demigillo & Sangguniang Bayan members, Municipal Administrator Gina B. Gatab, MSWDO Fritzie Ann B. Asotigue and to all who help during the process, our heartfelt thanks and gratitude. Thank you all.
