𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗔𝗬 𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗚𝗢 𝗡𝗚 𝗞𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧, 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛, 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗖𝗬 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗦

The City of Talisay celebrated Linggo ng Kabataan and International Youth Day 2026 through meaningful initiatives and programs aimed at empowering young people, strengthening their skills, promoting health and safety, and inspiring them to become responsible youth leaders with a greater sense of purpose and commitment to the community.

The two-day seminar and workshop brought together student leaders from 18 National High Schools, including SSLG officers, School Emergency Response Teams, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts representatives, and their advisers.

The participants took part in various sessions and activities focused on the following:

1. Basic Life Support and First Aid – Equipping young leaders with essential life-saving skills and knowledge in emergency response.
2. Local Youth Organization Registration Program 101 – Guiding youth organizations on proper registration, organization-building, and the development of youth-centered programs and initiatives.
3. HIV Screening and Adolescent Health Services – Promoting health awareness, prevention, and access to essential health services for adolescents.
4. Youth Volunteers and Advocacy Development – Strengthening volunteerism, leadership, civic participation, and youth-led advocacy initiatives.

I would like to recognize and commend the efforts of the Talisay Local Youth Development Office, headed by Christian Joecep Lazarte, in partnership with the LDRRMO Training Section, headed by Ms. Janice Sisa, and Operations Chief Joel Sisa, as well as the SK Federation Office, for their active involvement and valuable contributions in making this celebration meaningful and successful for the benefit of our Talisaynon youth.

The City Government of Talisay remains committed to implementing programs and initiatives that promote the welfare of our young people. We will continue to create opportunities that empower our youth, inspire them to choose the right path, and encourage them to become responsible citizens of our community.
