Hypertension remains a significant contributor to the leading causes of death in the Philippines. Reflecting a global trend, nearly half of hypertensive Filipinos are unaware of their condition, and only 27% have their blood pressure under control (Rosa et al.,2024)

According to the 2020 Clinical Practice Guidelines of the Philippine Society for Hypertension, hypertension is defined as an office blood pressure (BP) of 140/90 mm Hg or higher, measured in accordance with standard BP measurement protocols.

In accordance with the Presidential Proclamation Nos. 368 and 727 , Declaring the Regular and Special (Non-working) days for the year 2024 and 2025, please be informed that all Out Patient Services, Administrative & Support Offices will be closed on the following dates:

December 30 (Monday) - Rizal Day
December 31 (Tuesday) - Last Day of the Year
January 1, 2025 – New Years Day

Non-emergency Outpatient Consultation and other Outpatient Services shall resume on January 2, 2025. However, Urgent and Emergency cases will be attended to in our Emergency Room throughout the holiday period.
