To help maintain the stability of the power grid, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has placed the Visayas Grid under the following alert statuses today, August 8, 2026.
According to NGCP's 9:00 AM Grid Status Update, the Visayas Grid has an available capacity of 2,103 MW against a peak demand of 2,327 MW.
As electricity demand currently exceeds available power supply, temporary rotational brownouts may be implemented in affected areas.
