The month of July is declared as the β€œNutrition Month” (Pursuant to Section 7 of Presidential Decree 491 of 1974 also known as Nutrition Act of the Philippines) for the purpose of creating greater awareness among our people on the importance of nutrition.

The CHMSU Medical Health Services of the four campuses, in collaboration with the Red Cross Youth - CFIRST Talisay will conduct Nutrition Awareness Symposium on July 29, 2026. This event will be a virtual live-stream telecast via Google meet from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

June has been declared Dengue Awareness Month through Proclamation No. 1204 since 1998 to emphasize that the prevention and control of dengue require collaborative efforts among national and local government agencies, as well as private organizations and NGOs.

Hypertension is considered the number one contributing risk factor for global deaths, causing strokes, heart attacks, and other cardiovascular complications.
The month of May is declared as the "National Awareness Month" to prevent and control this disease, also for the compliance of OSH (Occupational Safety and Health Standards), RA.11058, and Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3), which aims to ensure good health and well-being for all.

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 124, dated November 26, 2001, the third week of November of every year has been declared Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week to promote public awareness of the harmful effects of illegal drug use, as well as to encourage public cooperation in the government’s anti-drug campaign.

β€œDrug Education and Smoking Prevention”

A collaborative activity of the Medical Health Services and the Young Hotel and Restaurant Entrepreneurs Association (YHREA) Club, held at the CHMSU Gymnasium, Talisay Campus, on November 18, 2025.
