𝗥𝗧𝗖 𝟲𝟱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗧𝗖 𝟲𝟲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗝𝗮𝗶𝗹 – 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆

On September 4, 2026, the Regional Trial Courts (RTC) Branch 65 and Branch 66 conducted a jail visitation and inspection at Talisay City Jail – Male Dormitory as part of their continuing efforts to ensure the protection of the rights and welfare of Persons Deprived of Liberty.

During the visit, Judge Alwen M. Paqueo, Atty. Gay T. Capangpangan (PAO), Atty. Mae Junica T. Salvacion, CPA of RTC 65, together with their staff and Atty. Maria Salve (PAO) of RTC 66 provided legal assistance to PDLs regarding the status of their respective cases. The activity also aimed to strengthen PDL's awareness of their right to due process and available legal remedies.

𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝘆𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Under the leadership of JSUPT SAMUEL JONATHAN L TUMANENG, a total of 122 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) underwent surprise drug testing, with all tests yielding 𝗡𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀.

As part of the continuing efforts to maintain a safe, secure, and contraband-free jail facility, intensive greyhound operations were also conducted in the dormitories to prevent the entry and possession of prohibited items.

These proactive measures demonstrate the jail administration’s unwavering commitment to discipline, security, and the welfare of both PDLs and personnel.
