👵👨‍🦳 DAY 5 OF ELDERLY FILIPINO WEEK 2026: Smiles, Games, Health Checks, and Family Ties 👵👨‍🦳

Heartwarming moments and holistic care filled the day as we continued our celebration for our senior citizen Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL)!

The activities commenced with the E-Dalaw Program, allowing our elderly PDL to reconnect and share warm conversations with their loved ones through virtual video calls.

Laughter filled the facility during the lively Parlor Games, where five elderly PDL won special prizes sponsored by the Jail Commissary, successfully facilitated by our Unit Welfare and Development (UWD) Officer.

To ensure their physical well-being, JO3 Romulo V Robite, Unit Jail Nurse conducted an informative Health Education session tailored for senior citizens PDL, which was immediately followed by Blood Pressure Monitoring and the Distribution of Vitamins.

All of these meaningful initiatives were made possible under the leadership of Acting City Jail Warden JINSP ROMMEL S RAVELLO and Assistant Warden SJO3 Eugene C Zaldarriaga.

Honoring our Elderly Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) with faith, compassion, and care. 🙏✨

In celebration of Elderly Filipino Week 2026, the facility held a Special Mass for Senior Citizen PDL on October 4, 2024, under the leadership of Acting City Jail Warden, JINSP ROMMEL S RAVELLO.

The Holy Mass was solemnized by Rev. Fr. Claude Ma. Umali, MMHC, centered on the Gospel and Homily from Matthew 21:33–43, reminding everyone of stewardship, faith, and God’s enduring love.

Following the service, the dedicated volunteers of the Volunteer on Prison Service - San Nicolas De Tolentino Prison Pastoral Care distributed hygiene kits—containing bath soap, toothpaste, deodorant, detergent powder, and shampoo—to 14 elderly PDL.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the Senining and Navarra Families for generously donating these essential items. Your kindness brings warmth and dignity to our senior PDL. 💙

Day 4 of Elderly Filipino Week: A Taste of Care ❤️👴👵

In celebration of the Elderly Filipino Week 2026, the Talisay City Jail brought smiles and comfort to our Senior Citizen Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) through "A Taste of Care: Elderly Food Treat Day."

Our elderly PDL were treated to delicious Purple Yum Cakes and C2 drinks, bringing warmth and appreciation to their special week.

This activity was successfully organized through the Jail Commissary funds.

Under the leadership of Acting City Jail Warden JINSP ROMMEL S RAVELLO and Assistant Warden SJO3 Eugene C Zaldarriaga, the initiative was spearheaded by SJO1 Cristine P Jallorina, Chief of the Unit Welfare and Development (UWD) Section.

We continue to honor, respect, and care for our senior citizens, ensuring that no one is left behind in our facility.

This heartwarming activity was facilitated by JO2 Rodnie M Conadera, Unit Welfare and Development Officer, under the leadership and guidance of Acting City Jail Warden, JINSP ROMMEL S RAVELLO

Pursuant to the welfare and development of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), SJO1 Cristine P Jallorina, Chief, Unit Welfare and Development (UWD) Section, recently received the PWD Quarterly Allowance from the Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO).

A total of five (5) male PWD PDL received their quarterly financial assistance amounting to ₱600.00 each.

This initiative is part of the ongoing commitment to promote inclusivity, dignity, and care for all PDL under the leadership of Acting City Jail Warden, JINSP ROMMEL S RAVELLO.

🎉 ELDERLY FILIPINO WEEK 2026 (Day 2 | October 2, 2026) 🎉

SUPPORT FOR OUR ELDERS: Talisay City LGU Quarterly Allowance, Booklet, and ID Distribution

As part of the ongoing Elderly Filipino Week celebration, the Talisay City Jail demonstrated its continuous commitment to the welfare of senior citizens behind bars, ensuring that 100% of Senior Citizen Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) in the facility have received their official SC IDs and booklets.

SJO1 Cristine P Jallorina, Chief, Unit Welfare and Development (UWD) Section, visited the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) to receive the quarterly Senior Citizens Allowance worth ₱600 each for four (4) Male Senior Citizen PDL, as well as one (1) Senior Citizen Booklet and ID for a Female Senior Citizen PDL.

Following the turnover, SJO1 Jallorina personally distributed the financial assistance, SC booklet, and ID to the respective recipients inside the facility.

This initiative is made possible under the dedicated leadership of Acting City Jail Warden JINSP ROMMEL S RAVELLO and Assistant Warden SJO3 Eugene C Zaldarriaga, in strong partnership with the Local Government Unit of Talisay City and OSCA.

The Talisay City Jail personnel, under the leadership of Acting City Jail Warden JINSP ROMMEL S RAVELLO, proudly joined the official kick-off of the 15th Community Relations Service (CRS) Month Celebration today, October 1, 2026!
With this year’s theme focusing on unity and service, our team kicked off the month-long celebration (October 1–31, 2026) with energy, dedication, and community spirit:

🚗 Morning Motorcade & Zumba: Revving up awareness and dancing toward wellness alongside our partners and community.

📌 Tarpaulin Hanging: Formally displaying our commitment to the 15th CRS Month.

🧹 Afternoon Clean-Up Drive: Giving back by maintaining a clean, safe, and green environment right outside our jail facility.

Stronger community ties lead to better rehabilitation and second chances. Together, we serve, transform, and build a safer community! 🤝🛡️
