New Talisayan Market Vendors Association Officers Take Oath

Talisayan, Misamis Oriental — The newly elected officers of the Talisayan Market Vendors Association officially took their oath of office this afternoon, administered by Hon. Mayor Ciriaco Talines at the Mayor’s Office.

Also present during the activity were Sangguniang Bayan Members Hon. Joveline Asuncion and Hon. Don Luis Sumanpan, who also expressed their full support to the newly elected officers and the continued development of the local market sector.

BFAR-10 Holds Orientation on “Tilapia Production in Pond” in Talisayan

TALISAYAN, Misamis Oriental — The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources–Provincial Fishery Office Misamis Oriental spearheaded an orientation on Tilapia Production in Pond held today in Brgy. Pook, Talisayan.

The activity aims to equip local fisherfolk with additional knowledge and skills on aquaculture as an alternative livelihood, complementing their traditional fishing practices. By engaging in tilapia pond culture, beneficiaries are provided with opportunities to increase household income, ensure food security, and support sustainable fisheries management.

The Local Government Unit of Talisayan expressed its gratitude to BFAR-10 and its dedicated personnel for their continuous assistance and commitment in uplifting the lives of the town’s fisherfolk.

This initiative highlights the strong partnership between BFAR-10 and local government units in advancing sustainable fisheries and community development across Northern Mindanao.
