READ| In preparation for the passage of the CY 2027 LGU Annual Budget, the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) and Municipal Anti - Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) Technical Working Groups (TWG) convened on June 30, 2026. Tackled during the meeting were the current status of funding utilization for the Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Plan for CY 2026 and the possible revisions of the plan to include new priority items that address concerns especially in road safety, and strengthening the security of the Municipality against criminalities and illegal drugs.

READ| The Municipality of Tambulig, the Municipal Anti - Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) headed by MADAC Chairperson, Municipal Mayor Ruel Omar L. Cabardo, with the support of the Legislative led by Vice Mayor Jonathan Butad along with the Members of the Sanggunian joins in the celebration of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) 2026.

The Tambulig Municipal Police Station with the leadership of Acting Chief, PMAJ Anselmo Gerrick Villanueva, strengthens the advocacies against illegal drugs at the grassroots level in partnership with Barangay Officials in the observance of IDADAIT 2026.

Municipality of Tambulig joins in the Celebration of International Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, June 26, 2026, anchored on the theme "World Drug Problem: Persisting Issues, New Challenges, Innovative Response".

As the Municipality maintains its steadfast advocacy to curb anti - illegal cases and related violation in Tambulig, Mayor Ruel Omar L. Cabardo reminds the Tambulignons that the fight against illegal drugs does not rest solely on the shoulders of the Government but it is a fight as one community.

NOW HAPPENING | Municipality of Tambulig attends Training of Trainers (TOT) Community Diagnosis and Participatory Planning held at Four Queens Resort, Pagadian City on May 13-14, 2026.

The activity is attended by Municipal Local Government Operations Officer. LGOO VI Rosary Serohijos, Municipal Planning Development Officer Mr. Alexander Remoto and LGU Multipliers, Municipal Administrator Mr. Jastin Oniot and DILG Staff Ms. Leah Sumaoy.

The activity is initiated by the DILG Regional Office aiming to equip trainers in preparation for the implementation of the CY 2026 Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP). RCSP is , a government initiative aimed at addressing the root causes of conflict and reducing poverty in barangays through localized service delivery and development projects.

For 2026, the LGU of Tambulig has 10 beneficiary barangays which shall undergo community diagnosis and enhancement of their Barangay Development Plans.

READ| Municipality of Tambulig conducts its 2ND Quarter Joint Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) and Municipal Anti - Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) Meetings presided by MPOC-MADAC Chairperson, Mayor Ruel Omar L. Cabardo, May 7, 2026 at the Conference Hall, Municipal Building.

The MPOC and MADAC, composed of different members from the Sangguniang Bayan, DILG, PNP, BFP, BJMP, AFP, Municipal Department Heads, Civil Society Organizations and other stakeholders, convene quarterly to tackle issues, concerns and strategic measures to maintain the peace and order as well as strengthening the campaign against illegal drugs of the Municipality of Tambulig.
