On August 3, 2026, the Municipality of Pagayawan successfully conducted the Municipal Education Summit 2026, bringing together the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education, the Local Government Unit, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Barangay Chairpersons, representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), school leaders, teachers, learners, partner agencies, and other stakeholders in a shared commitment to advancing quality, inclusive, and responsive education for every Pagayawanen.
The summit officially commenced with the ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ (๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ) ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐, a significant platform that highlighted the current state of education in the municipality through the presentation of school performance based on key educational indicators. The activity was graced by ๐๐๐๐ค๐ค๐ก๐จ ๐ฟ๐๐ซ๐๐จ๐๐ค๐ฃ ๐๐ช๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ ๐ฟ๐ง. ๐ผ๐ฃ๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐ and Division personnel, together with ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ก ๐๐๐ฎ๐ค๐ง ๐๐ค๐ฃ. ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ ๐ฟ๐๐ข๐๐ก๐ช๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐ก๐๐ค, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Barangay Chairpersons, representatives from the PNP and AFP, school heads, teachers, learners, partner agencies, and other distinguished guests.
As the first major component of the summit, the DIVIMASS Presentation enabled educational leaders to assess the performance of their respective schools, celebrate gains, identify existing gaps, and present evidence-based recommendations to further improve the quality of education in Pagayawan. It also served as an avenue for school heads to communicate the priority needs and concerns of their schools directly to the Local Government Unit, fostering a stronger partnership in addressing educational challenges and strengthening support mechanisms for schools and learners alike.
More than a presentation of figures and accomplishments, the DIVIMASS reinforced the value of data-driven leadership, collaborative planning, and shared accountability in creating responsive educational policies and interventions. It reflected the collective determination of DepEd, the LGU, and education stakeholders to continuously raise the standard of education and ensure that every learner receives the opportunities they deserve.
Following the DIVIMASS Presentation, ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ก ๐๐๐ฎ๐ค๐ง ๐๐ค๐ฃ. ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ ๐ฟ๐๐ข๐๐ก๐ช๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐ก๐๐ค delivered her ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ ๐๐ป๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐, where she reaffirmed the Local Government Unit's steadfast commitment to advancing education through ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฑ. In her address, she laid down the municipality's vision and strategic direction for education, emphasizing that investing in learners, empowering educators, and strengthening partnerships remain among the LGU's highest priorities in building a better future for Pagayawan.
