💙💛 This month, we proudly celebrated **𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡**!
We recognized the abilities, strengths, and unique potential of individuals with Down syndrome. They are not defined by their condition—they are capable, loving, and inspiring members of our community.

📜 In line with the Proclamation No. 157, S.2002 Down Syndrome Consciousness Month to promote awareness, acceptance, and support.

Our department fully supports and celebrates this meaningful observance as part of our commitment to building a more inclusive, compassionate, and equitable community for all.

👏 Special thanks to our psychologist interns from University of Rizal System for their invaluable assistance and support in making this activity meaningful.

✨ Let’s celebrate differences. Raise awareness. Show our support.

This year, our Oral Health Care Assistance (OHCA) for learners with special educational needs (LSENs) has been expanded to reach more learners and provide even more services, including dental check-ups, cleaning, fluoride treatment, and oral health education. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to LGU Municipal Dentist Dr. Shannen Kenezzete DC. Albay and DOH dentists Dr. Gigi H. Vicencio, Dr. Elvira V. Diesta, and Dr. Enrique Tan for making this possible and bringing care, smiles, and confidence to our learners. 🙏🪥

This February, NCDA proudly invites everyone to join the nation in celebrating National Down Syndrome Consciousness Month.

Through Presidential Proclamation No. 157, issued on February 18, 2002, February was officially declared National Down Syndrome Consciousness Month—a time to raise awareness, promote inclusion, and honor the unique abilities, voices, and contributions of persons with Down Syndrome.

This month reminds us that understanding leads to acceptance, and acceptance builds a more inclusive society for all.

𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝘀, 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀

Learning about Autism Spectrum Disorder helps us see the world in new ways. It reminds us that everyone has something special to share. Each person brings ideas, creativity, and energy that make communities brighter, more fun, and more connected. Appreciating and celebrating these strengths helps us grow kinder, more understanding, and more compassionate.

This Autism Consciousness Week, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines encourages everyone to embrace, support, and celebrate one another no matter how we see, learn, or experience the world. Because in Scouting, everyone is welcome and has a community to shine.
