On June 16, 2026, the Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur, through the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office – Local Government Unit (PENRO-LGU), successfully conducted the Province-wide Arbor Day Celebration and Simultaneous Tree Planting Activity, bringing together government agencies, local government units, partner organizations, communities, and volunteers in a shared commitment to environmental stewardship.
More than just planting seedlings, the activity symbolizes our collective promise to protect our forests, restore degraded landscapes, strengthen climate resilience, and secure a greener future for the next generations of Surigaonons.
