TANDAG CITY POLICE SUPPORTS SANGKAAN FESTIVAL 2026

The Tandag Component City Police Station, led by PLTCOL JUNYD D MAROHOM, Acting Chief of Police, participated the Operational Period Briefing and Ceremonial Tandag City Emergency Response Team (TCERT) Deployment in preparation for the Sangkaan Festival 2026.

The activity, spearheaded by the LGU-Tandag through City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), brings together various response agencies and clusters to strengthen coordination, preparedness, and operational readiness for the safe and orderly conduct of the festivities.

Tandag CPS remains committed to ensuring the safety, security, and protection of residents, visitors, and festival-goers throughout Sangkaan Festival 2026.

Ang Tandag Component City Police Station (TCCPS) nakahibalo sa usa ka post sa social media nga nag-angkon sa presensya sa usa ka kalihokan nga may kalabotan sa iligal nga droga, ilabina sa gipasangil nga pagbaligya og iligal nga droga, sa palibot sa Purok Rising Sun, Barangay Bag-ong Lungsod, Tandag City.

Giseryoso sa estasyon ang maong report tungod sa posibleng hulga nga mahimong idulot sa mga kalihokan nga may kalabotan sa iligal nga droga sa kaluwasan ug kaayohan sa mga residente, ilabina sa mga bata ug uban pang miyembro sa komunidad.

Ang impormasyon nga anaa sa maong social media post giisip isip impormasyon nga nagkinahanglan pa og beripikasyon. Ang Tandag CCPS maghimo og tukmang validation ug police action subay sa kasamtangang mga balaod, lagda, regulasyon, ug standard operating procedures. The Tandag Component City Police Station is aware of a social media post alleging the presence of an illegal drug-related activity, particularly the purported sale of illegal drugs, in the vicinity of Purok Rising Sun, Barangay Bag-ong Lungsod, Tandag City.

The Station takes this report seriously, considering the potential threat that illegal drug activities may pose to the safety and well-being of residents, particularly children and other members of the community.

The information contained in the social media post is being treated as information requiring verification. The Tandag CCPS shall undertake appropriate validation and police action in accordance with existing laws, rules, regulations, and standard operating procedures. Any necessary law enforcement intervention shall be based on verified information and appropriate evidence.

The public is encouraged to report suspected illegal drug activities directly to the police through proper channels and to provide accurate and verifiable information that may assist law enforcement authorities.

The public is likewise strongly advised not to confront, approach, or take action against suspected individuals on their own, as doing so may place them at risk and could compromise legitimate police operations.

All police actions shall be undertaken pursuant to Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and other applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
