The Municipal Social Welfare Office headed by Ms. Joji A. Abarca,Rsw and Local Council of Women (LCW) Headed by Mrs. Lina D. Otagan would like to express gratitude to Hon. Nicolas O. Alameda,CE.MPA for the full support given to the women's sector for the two days Activity. Today: The Government Unit of San Agustin celebrated the 31st Children's Day Celebration with the theme : Healthy, Nourished, Sheltered: Ensuring the Rights to Life for All. " This celebration is sperheaded by the Office of Municipal Social Welfare and Development.
Our Local Chief Executive Engr. Nicolas O. Alameda, CE, MPA delivered his State of Children Address. He discussed the implemented programs and. Services that foster the well-being of each and every member, most especially of the children. He presented also the accomplishment report on children sector based in keys area on the Children's survival, development, protection and participation.
Awarding of Most Friendly Barangay and Schools is one of the highlights of this activity. Other activities included: Mass Dance competition and Universal costume contest for Preschooler and Child Development Worker's category. As we lookef forward the importance of the participation of of all sectors-family, government and civil society to take consideration the needs and rights of the children. Because like any adult, children have rights to love decent life. They are the most vulnerable sector but are often left out in development.
Applause to Everyone👏👏👏This activity is very memorable and successful one.

Child Development Worker's conducted Community Outreach Program (Mass feeding, parlor games) at Barangay Janipaan one of the far flung area in this Municipality. This activity is part of the Children's Month Celebration. Partner offices like Municipal Health Office distributed a dental kits to ECCD preschoolers. The MSWD Office is so thankful to the support of BLGU, PNP, MHO and parents.

November 14, 2023 the LGU San Agustin conducted another kick-off activity for the whole month of November as part of the Children's Month Celebration. The Local Council for the Protection of Children facilitated by the LCPC focal Ma'am Icy S. Bolocboloc conducted "Search for Child Friendly Barangay 2023" in coordination with other stakeholders as part of the evaluators.

The LGU iniated this activity and conducted annually because like any adult, children have rights to live a decent life. They are the most vulnerable sector but are often left out in the development projects. And yet, children are the most in number and are supposedly the "hope of the future generation."

It is important, therefore, for all sectors-family, government and civic society to take consideration on the needs and rights of children.

13 Barangays in this locality aims automatically included as participants for the search. Barangay are evaluated in keys area based on the Children's survival, development, protection and participation.

Awarding ceremony will be on Children's Day Celebration. This year LGU hold the 31st Children's Month Celebration with the theme: Healthy, Nourished, Sheltered:Ensuring the Rights to Life for All. "

Today: As one of the kick-off activity of the Children's Month Celebration the Local Government Unit of San Agustin through Local Council for the Protection of Children conduct Children Congress to children aged 12-17 years old and it was facilitated by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office lead by the LCPC Focal Ma'am Icy S. Bolocboloc. In coordination with the Philippine National Police and Municipal Health Office.
We are also thankful to all participating school for their participants and LGBTQ members.
This year, the LGU hold the 31st Children's month celebration with the theme: Healthy, Nourished, Sheltered,: Ensuring the Rights to Life for All. "
