The North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) Library System participated in the Orientation Meeting conducted by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) in preparation for the establishment of the PIDS Corner in the University Library. The activity aimed to orient participating institutions on the objectives, requirements, and implementation procedures of the PIDS corner program.

A significant portion of the orientation focused on the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which outlined the responsibilities and commitments of both PIDS and NEMSU. Participants were informed about the establishment and maintenance of the PIDS Corner, the provision of PIDS publications, reporting requirements, and strategies for maximizing the utilization of the resources by students, faculty members, researchers and other library users.

The University Library would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated team from the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) for conducting this meaningful orientation on the PIDS Corner Program. We look forward to a productive and lasting collaboration with PIDS in advancing knowledge dissemination and fostering a culture of research and evidence-based learning in our university.

This serves as an information release on the provisions of Joint Memorandum No. 06-002, s. 2026, which directs the resumption of the University's regular work schedule across all campuses and offices.

By returning to its regular onsite operations, the University seeks to further enhance coordination, maintain productivity, and ensure that the needs of its students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders are effectively addressed.
