PFAC–SDS CHAPTER ELECTS NEW SET OF OFFICERS

The Provincial Farmers Action Council (PFAC) – Surigao del Sur Chapter conducted a meeting for the election of its new set of officers on August 13, 2026, at the NFA Surigao del Sur Conference Room, Mabua, Tandag City, Surigao del Sur.

Elected to lead the chapter are:
🔹 Chairman — Ricardo M. Fernandez
🔹 Vice-Chairman — Garry S. Gardigo
🔹 Secretary — Florabel P. Ravelo
🔹 Treasurer — Rosario M. Tabuyan
🔹 Auditor — Ranulfo Climaco

RM II/Concurrent Branch Manager May Sara A. Sabarre led the oathtaking of the newly elected officers, who are committed to serve the interest and welfare of the farmers in the province.

FILIPINO FOOD MONTH 2026
CONNECTED BY TASTE: THE FIIPINO FOOD IN THE FLAVORS OF ASEAN

Ipinagdiwang ng National Food Authority (NFA) ang Buwan ng Pagkaing Pilipino ngayong Abril 2026 bilang pagbibigay-pugay sa mayamang kultura at tradisyon ng lutuing Pilipino. Tampok sa selebrasyon ang iba’t ibang katutubong pagkain at mga paboritong delicacy na sumasalamin sa iba’t ibang rehiyon ng bansa. Nagtipon-tipon ang mga empleyado ng NFA upang magsalo-salo sa masarap na tanghalian at meryenda, na naging daan upang higit pang mapagtibay ang samahan at pagkakaisa sa loob ng organisasyon.

Sa pamamagitan ng gawaing ito, hindi lamang natin pinapahalagahan ang pagkaing Pilipino, kundi pati ang kultura at pagkatao nating lahat. Ang simpleng pagtitipon ay paalala na ang pagkain ay hindi lamang sa pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan- ito rin ay bahagi ng ating pagkakilanlan bilang isang Pilipino.
