๐ ROTC COURSE ORIENTATION | NEMSU-CANTILAN CAMPUS ROTC UNIT
On 29 August 2026, LTC NOEL A FRIAS (OS) PA, Director of the 1504CDC,15RCDG,RESCOM, PA conducted ROTC Advocacy and Orientation to the newly enrolled freshmen students of the North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) โ Cantilan Campus held at the NEMSU Gymnasium Brgy. Pagantayan, Cantilan, Surigao del Sur.
The activity focused on providing the students with essential information about the ROTC Course, its policies and guidelines, the Advanced ROTC Program, the benefits and opportunities available to ROTC cadets. The advocacy aimed to enhance the studentsโ awareness and appreciation of the ROTC program as an avenue for developing discipline, leadership, patriotism and a strong sense of responsibility.
The activity was followed by a static display and video presentation featuring the 36th Infantry Battalion, showcasing its activities and capabilities. A video presentation on the West Philippine Sea was also conducted to increase the studentsโ awareness of national security concerns and the importance of protecting the countryโs sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The successful conduct of the activity provided the freshmen students with valuable knowledge and a deeper understanding of the ROTC program while fostering awareness of their potential role in nation-building and promoting responsible and patriotic citizenship.
