Misamis Occidental — The Asenso brand of governance took the spotlight as regional leaders converged in Sinacaban for the 143rd Regional Development Council (RDC)-10 Full Council Meeting, where the province hosted delegates at the Asenso Misamis Occidental Resort and Aquamarine Park (AMORAP). The gathering marked a pivotal moment for Northern Mindanao as it formally endorsed the 2026–2028 MAS ASENSO Agenda—Governor Henry S. Oaminal’s roadmap for a “Strong and Rising Northern Mindanao.”
Presiding over his first meeting as RDC-10 Chair, Oaminal used the platform to articulate how the Asenso governance philosophy—anchored on accountability, innovation, and measurable progress—can serve as a model for inter-provincial cooperation.
He introduced the MAS ASENSO Northern Mindanao Framework, a development agenda shaped by six pillars:
• Modern governance and digital transformation,
• Accelerated investments and economic expansion,
• Strengthened infrastructure and security systems,
• Enhanced human capital and social protection,
• Innovation-driven industries, and
• Efficient land and resource management.
Oaminal said the Asenso approach is not merely a provincial brand but a replicable, region-wide strategy to elevate public service.
“MAS ASENSO offers a clear, actionable path for inclusive and sustainable regional growth,” he told the Council, urging LGUs to align their priority projects. RDC-endorsed proposals, he stressed, will be elevated for inclusion in the 2027 National Expenditure Program, widening access to national budget support.
The Full Council approved 48 resolutions, reflecting a highly productive session marked by unified regional direction. Among the key measures passed were policies to bolster agricultural value chains, expand infrastructure upgrades, strengthen youth development and mental health programs, accelerate land tenure reforms, and adopt RDC’s fiscal priorities for FY 2026.
Beyond bureaucratic approvals, the meeting underscored how the Asenso governance ethos—proactive, collaborative, and forward-looking—continues to reshape Misamis Occidental’s leadership reputation across Northern Mindanao. With the MAS ASENSO Agenda gaining regional backing, Oaminal’s administration is positioning the province as an anchor of stability and progress in Northern Mindanao’s development trajectory.
As delegates departed AMORAP, the message was clear: the Asenso brand has evolved from a provincial identity to a regional force—setting the tone for Northern Mindanao’s growth in the coming years.
