Ang Tanjay Water District nagpagawas ug dinalian nga update bahin sa tinubdan sa tubig sa Mangoto Creek. Tungod sa sige nga kakuwang sa ulan, ang produksyon sa tubig miusos og maayo sa miaging mga adlaw.

The Tanjay Water District officially announces that our water supply management protocol has been upgraded from Yellow Alert to PHASE II: ORANGE ALERT (Supply Drop)

Due to the ongoing dry spell and system strain, we are experiencing a 15% to 40% drop in overall water supply capacity, triggering the emergence of localized low-pressure zones across Tanjay City.

* Supply Drop: Water Source availability is reduced by up to 40% and may affect distribution across our network.
* Low-Pressure Zones: Elevated areas and those far from pumping stations will experience significantly low to zero pressure.

Greetings, valued concessionaires!

You have likely noticed the recent rains brought by the Low Pressure Area (LPA) over the past few days. While these showers are a welcome relief from the heat, we want to share an important update regarding our water supply.

The Situation:

Despite the rain in the lowland and urban areas, the rainfall did not reach the critical watershed areas that naturally recharge our primary water sources.

Why This Matters:

Our surface water source which is the Mangoto Creek rely heavily on sustained rainfall directly over our upland watersheds to replenish its levels. Because the recent weather systems missed these specific zones, our water source level remain low and have not yet fully recovered.

Our Appeal to the Community:

We are continuously monitoring our water systems to ensure steady distribution. In the meantime, we kindly ask everyone to continue practicing water conservation:

🪣 Store enough water during peak hours.

🚿 Reuse laundry water for flushing or cleaning.

WHAT: Temporary Water Service Interruption

WHEN: Ongoing until further notice

WHERE: Sta. Cruz Viejo and Sta. Cruz Nuevo (areas served by the Nagsala Pumping Station)

WHY: Road reconstruction by Richfield Builders at Palanas Proper has damaged the 4-inch mainline pipe.

Important Notice to Consumers!

Ongoing Risks: Future disruptions are highly possible due to the heavy equipment used throughout this road construction project.

Current Situation: Affected zones will experience low pressure to zero water supply while active repairs take place.

What to Do?

Maintain Storage: Keep a backup supply of clean water stored throughout the construction period.

Shut Valves: Keep your main valve closed during service drops to prevent air from spinning your meter.
