On protecting our coastal and marine resources for present and future generations!
The City Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council (CFARMC) Regular Meeting was successfully conducted in partnership with Rare Philippines, DENR Tañon Strait Protected Seascape, and the Philippine Coast Guard for the presentation, discussion, and approval of the proposed Tanjay City Fishery Ordinance.
This collaborative effort highlights the strong commitment of our government agencies, partner organizations, and fisherfolk sector in protecting our municipal waters, strengthening coastal law enforcement, and promoting sustainable fisheries management. The proposed ordinance aims to safeguard marine resources, combat illegal fishing activities, and secure the livelihood of our local fisherfolk while ensuring the preservation of our seas for future generations.
Through unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility, we continue to move forward in building a sustainable, resilient, and progressive coastal community. Daghang salamat to all stakeholders and participants who contributed their time, ideas, and support in making this initiative possible. Together, let us continue protecting and conserving our marine resources for the benefit of every Tanjayanon. 🌊🐟🤍
