Gender and Development Program under the Rice Program of ATI-RTC 12 successfully conducted an Outreach Program in Sitio Lingkos of Brgy. New Bantangan, Columbio, Sultan Kudarat today, June 4, 2026.

21 families in Sitio Lingkos received rice and grocery packs. The activity officially opened with an inspiring message from OIC-Center Director Jessie V. Beldia, Ph.D., who emphasized the importance of outreach activities in extending government services and support to communities in need. This was followed by a message of support from CDMS Chief/TS III Simona P. Dela Cruz, who highlighted the significance of collaboration and community engagement in achieving meaningful development outcomes.

The activity concluded with a heartfelt message from Brgy. Captain, Mr. Ping Sugal, who expressed his sincere gratitude to the organizers and partners for their generosity and commitment to serving the community.

The success of this outreach activity was made possible through the collective efforts and unwavering support of the Rice Program ATI-RTC 12 and the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist (OMAG) of Columbio, whose partnership played a vital role in the effective implementation of the program.

The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center XII (ATI-RTC XII), through its Information Services Section, successfully conducted the Launching and Turnover of the Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Kiosk at the Cotabato Integrated Farm Training Center in Kidapawan City, Cotabato on May 26, 2026.

The activity marked another milestone in ATI-RTC XII’s continuing efforts to expand access to agricultural information, technologies, and extension services through the Techno Gabay Program (TGP), bringing knowledge resources closer to farmers, agricultural workers, students, and stakeholders.

During the program, Mr. Jon Ian D. Belo, OIC Chief of the Information Services Section, presented an overview of the Techno Gabay Program. He emphasized the importance of FITS Centers and Kiosks as strategic platforms for information dissemination, technology promotion, and knowledge sharing. He also highlighted how the program strengthens the linkage between technology generators and end-users, enabling farming communities to access updated agricultural information, digital learning resources, and ATI programs and services.

A Message of Commitment was delivered by Ms. Helenberg F. Pinggoy on behalf of Mr. Winefredo Fontanilla, Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) Owner. In her message, she expressed gratitude to ATI-RTC XII for its unwavering support in promoting agricultural development and empowering local farming communities. She reaffirmed their commitment to supporting ATI’s initiatives and ensuring that the FITS Kiosk will serve as a sustainable and accessible learning hub for farmers, students and other agricultural stakeholders.

The newly established FITS Kiosk will provide access to agricultural technologies, e-learning courses, information and education materials, and various extension services that contribute to the growth and development of the agriculture sector.

Through strong partnerships and collaborative efforts, ATI-RTC XII continues to advance its mission of empowering communities through knowledge, innovation, and technology-driven agricultural extension services.

He further emphasized that the establishment of the FITS Kiosk will serve as a gateway for farmers to access modern farming technologies, digital learning resources, extension services, and various agricultural programs that can enhance farm productivity and sustainability.

Meanwhile, Mr. Charlie Lambenecio, Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) Owner of Canaan Integrated Farm, delivered his Message of Commitment, expressing his gratitude to ATI-RTC XII for the trust and support extended to their farm. He affirmed his commitment to sustaining the operations of the FITS Kiosk and ensuring that it remains a valuable resource center for farmers, students, and visitors seeking agricultural knowledge and innovations. He also pledged to continue supporting ATI's initiatives in promoting technology transfer and agricultural development in the community.

Learning met hands-on experience on Day 3 of the From Bean to Brew: Training of Trainers on Coffee Processing, Specialty Coffee, and Barista Skills for Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) held on June 3, 2026.

The morning session focused on Training Methodologies and Facilitation Techniques, facilitated by Ms. Melissa Marie G. Bautista, a private practitioner. Through interactive discussions and practical insights, participants gained a deeper understanding of effective training delivery, learner engagement, and knowledge transfer essential skills as they prepare to cascade coffee technologies and best practices to their respective communities.

In the afternoon, participants immersed themselves in the world of specialty coffee during sessions on Specialty Coffee, Barista Skills, and Food Safety and Quality Assurance in Coffee Processing facilitated by Mr. Bryan Rey E. Taplac, Barista Expert and Instructor of South Asiatech College, Inc., with the assistance of Mr. Olsen Ric B. Mendoza of Café Cerveza. Held at the ACCESS Campus of South Asiatech College, Inc., a Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) in Region XII, the session combined theory with practice through bean grading, coffee beverage preparation, and latte art activities.

The hands-on experience allowed participants to appreciate the science, craftsmanship, and quality standards behind every cup of coffee further enhancing their competencies as future trainers and advocates of the region’s growing coffee industry.

𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞- 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐗𝐈𝐈, through its Livestock Program, officially commenced the 20-day training entitled, “𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐥: 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 (𝐁𝐌𝐈𝐂) 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐗𝐈𝐈 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐌 – 𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡,” in partnership with the National Meat Inspection Service – Regional Technical Operations Center XII (NMIS RTOC XII) on June 2, 2026.

The opening program began with the acknowledgment of guests and participants led by Mr. Errol Chris A. Laspiñas, Agriculturist I and Livestock Focal Person.

This was followed by the opening remarks delivered by Dr. Jessie V. Beldia, OIC Center Director of ATI-RTC XII, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of strengthening meat inspection services to ensure food safety and public health.

Representing Dr. Grace L. Rosete, OIC-Regional Technical Director of NMIS Region XII, the inspirational message was delivered by Dr. Precious Emerald Licatan, DVM, Senior Meat Control Officer of NMIS XII , who encouraged the participants to maximize the learning opportunities provided by the training and uphold the highest standards of meat safety and inspection.

To ensure a conducive learning environment throughout the duration of the course, the ATI House Rules were reviewed by Mr. Jim C. Raborar, Dormitory Manager II.

The participants were then oriented on the training objectives, course requirements, and expected outcomes through the Training Course Overview presented by Mr. Errol Chris A. Laspiñas.

The training formally commenced with the discussion on Module 1: Legal Framework: Laws and Issuances, Consumer Welfare Act, and Food Safety Act, facilitated by Atty. Beata Humilda O. Obsioma, DVM, Ph.D. The session provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the legal foundations governing meat inspection and food safety in the country.

Through this collaborative initiative, ATI-RTC XII and NMIS RTOC XII continue to strengthen the competencies of Local Government Unit (LGU) Meat Inspection Officers, ensuring the delivery of safe, wholesome, and quality meat products for all Filipinos.

The second day of the From Bean to Brew: Training of Trainers on Coffee Processing, Specialty Coffee, and Barista Skills for Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) provided participants with a deeper understanding of coffee processing, quality evaluation, and enterprise development on June 2, 2026, at ATI-RTC XII, San Felipe, Tantangan, South Cotabato.

Ms. Rebecca B. Gacayan, coffee entrepreneur and owner of Gacayan Sultan Coffee, facilitated discussions on Harvest and Post-Harvest Handling Techniques, Primary Coffee Processing, and Coffee Roasting and Quality Evaluation, drawing from her extensive experience in the coffee industry. Participants actively engaged in hands-on activities where they handled, examined, and evaluated coffee beans, allowing them to gain practical skills and a better appreciation of quality coffee production.

Meanwhile, Mr. Marvin V. Genita, Supervising Trade Industry Development Specialist from DTI XII, discussed Business Diagnosis and Marketing Strategies, equipping participants with valuable insights on identifying market opportunities, developing competitive products, and strengthening coffee enterprises through strategic marketing approaches.
