The Municipality of Tapaz, Capiz, under the leadership of Mayor Rex Dante Palomar, continues to bring essential government services closer to the people through its Serbisyo Caravan program.

In Barangay Cristina, residents were able to access various public services, including the PhilHealth YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program), which promotes preventive healthcare, early disease detection, access to essential medicines, and regular health consultations. Assistance on PhilHealth membership and healthcare benefits was also provided.

Through initiatives like the Serbisyo Caravan, the local government remains committed to delivering accessible, responsive, and people-centered services to every Tapazanon.

June 4, 2026 | Tapaz Civic Center

The Municipality of Tapaz, under the leadership of Mayor Rex Dante Palomar, successfully conducted the Training and Re-Orientation on the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) and Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) at the Tapaz Civic Center, presided over by Mayor Rex.

The activity was attended by SB Member Marlon Perez, PMSG Lyn Gape, Aldrin Falco, CPA, MLGOO Vito Navarra, representatives from PDEA, PNP, and DILG, together with barangay officials from across the municipality.

The training focused on updates and discussions regarding peace and order, public safety, anti-drug initiatives, and the strengthening of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program. Topics included updates on the LGU Tapaz Barangay Drug Clearing Program, PNP Drug Awareness and Advocacy initiatives, and the orientation on the retention of Drug-Cleared and Drug-Free Status of barangays.

Through this activity, participants gained updated knowledge and practical guidance in implementing anti-drug programs, strengthening coordination among agencies, and sustaining the gains of the Drug Clearing Program. The initiative further reinforces the local government's commitment to peace and order, public safety, and a drug-free environment.

The Local Government Unit of Tapaz warmly welcomes the CSC Capiz Field Office personnel, led by Director Vizur-Ty C. Gaitano, for the conduct of the Civil Service Exam Mobile Filing on June 1โ€“2, 2026.

In collaboration with the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) of the Tapaz Government Center led by, Cristita L. Giner, HRMOV, this initiative brings Civil Service Commission services closer to the people, providing aspiring civil servants with a convenient and accessible opportunity to file their applications within the municipality.

LGU Tapaz extends its gratitude to the CSC Capiz Field Office and all partner offices for making government services more accessible to the Tapazeรฑos.

The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA)โ€“Capiz conducted its 2nd Coordination Meeting with the Tapaz Coconut Farmers Federation at the Farmers Training Hall in Tapaz, Capiz on June 4, 2026.

The meeting focused on the upcoming Health and Medical Services Program for all federation members, which is scheduled to take place on June 13โ€“14, 2026, in Barangay San Nicolas, Tapaz, Capiz.

The activity was facilitated by the Municipal Agriculture Office together with the PCAโ€“Capiz personnel, Jefie Caballero, Agriculturist II, and Rhyna Ann Carlos, PDO II. It was attended by coconut farmer leaders from various barangays, as well as representatives from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) and the Municipal Health Office (MHO).

The coordination meeting served as a venue for planning and collaboration among stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the health and medical services activity for coconut farmers and their families.

Today, June 4, 2026, the LGU Tapaz community gathered for the First Thursday Mass at the Tapaz Government Center Chapel.

The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Msgr. Job Bolivar, who, in his homily, emphasized the Gospel message of loving our neighbors as we love ourselves. He reminded everyone that genuine service to others begins with compassion, understanding, and respect. He also encouraged public servants and community members alike to prioritize good leadership, integrity, and the common good over political interests, fostering unity and responsible stewardship in service to the people.

This month's Mass was sponsored by the Municipal Population Office, Barangay Operations Supervisory Team (BOST), and the Municipal Internal Audit Service Office (MIASO).

On June 3, 2026, The Barangay Cristina, Tapaz, Capiz successfully held a Serbisyo Caravan in partnership with Municipal Health Office, MAO, MSWDO, Treasurers Office, LCR, Assessorโ€™s Office, Brgy Officials , SK officials, BHW Volunteers and X-ray Volunteers from the Province of Capiz.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Rex Dante L. Palomar for his unwavering love and support throughout the entire Serbisyo Caravan.

Mayor Palomarโ€™s dedication to public service continues to make a meaningful impact on the communities of Barangay Carida, which have become more progressive under his leadership and term in office.

This program was initiated to bring essential public services, development programs, and, livelihood support directly to local communities, especially in remote or conflict-vulnerable areas. It aims to reduce long, costly travel for residents, promoting inclusive development, social justice, and immediate access to government assistance.
