Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents

BFP BARMM Taraka Fire Station duty personnel, together with the Taraka Municipal Police Station, conducted Simultaneous Nationwide Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents at Ansano Memorial National High School to strengthen the preparedness and awareness of students, teachers, and school personnel during emergencies.

The activity provided an opportunity for the school community to learn the importance of staying calm, following safety protocols, knowing evacuation routes, and responding properly during fire and other emergency situations.

Preparedness is more than a drill—it is a life-saving skill. By practicing today, we build a safer and more resilient school community tomorrow. 🧯🏫

BFP BARMM Taraka Fire Station duty personnel coordinated with the Taraka Municipal Police Station and School Principal of Ansano Memorial National High School in preparation for the upcoming Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents.

Learning Beyond Limitations!

Refresher Skills Enhancement: Water Rescue & Safety

Strengthening knowledge, sharpening awareness, and staying rescue-ready. Through online learning, BFP BARMM Taraka Fire Station personnel continue to refresh essential skills in water rescue awareness, swift-water safety, proper Personal Floating Devices use, and rescue equipment familiarization.

This refresher initiative is especially important as the station currently has limited water-rescue equipment. While we work to address this equipment gap, continuous learning and skills enhancement help ensure that our personnel remain aware, prepared, and safety-conscious when responding to water-related emergencies.

Learning Beyond Limitations

Despite the limited availability of rescue equipment, BFP BARMM Taraka Fire Station personnel remain committed to strengthening their knowledge and skills through online learning and continuous self-development. To further enhance operational readiness, duty personnel conducted weekly refresher skills enhancement on rescue operations, focusing on vehicle extrication awareness, hydraulic rescue tool familiarization, glass management, and patient safety.

These initiatives reflect the personnel’s commitment to continuous learning, skills development, and preparedness. Despite resource limitations, they continue to make the most of available learning opportunities to improve their knowledge and maintain readiness to respond effectively to emergencies and serve the community.
