Camp O Donnell, Capas, Tarlac – The Sustainment Center, TRADOC conducted the registration of incoming students for 3rd TP, CY 2024. Students across the different units of the Philippine Army flocked for the in-processing for their career courses.

The registration was done by stations. Station 1 is for the checking of documentary requirement, followed by the collection of initial subsistence allowance and Station 3 is for the submission of other medical related requirements. Station 4 is for the turn-ins of their fi****ms and rifles and finally is their room assignment in Station 5.

Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac - COL ALCON R MAGDAMIT GSC (QMS) PA, Director, Sustainment Center, Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army, led the Ceremonial Pinning of the Occupational Specialty Badges of Students of 2TP CY-2024. This event is perhaps one of the most significant moments a student will forever cherish in their career journey as the badge is a distinctive emblem, symbolizes skills and proficiency, pinned near the heart to remind the bearer of fidelity and dedication to duty.

In his message, COL MAGDAMIT emphasized the importance of Sustainment in the organization and warmly welcomed them to the “TAGPAGPANAGUYOD” family.

Following the event is the Awarding Ceremony for the 2nd Training Period Career and Specialization Courses for CY-2024 to formally recognize the achievements of students who topped their respective courses. COL MAGDAMIT congratulated all awardees for their relentless dedication and a steadfast pursuit of excellence.

Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac - COL ALCON R MAGDAMIT GSC (QMS) PA, Director of the Sustainment Center, Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army, graced the opening of ceremony of Sports Festival for 2TP CY 2024.

The much anticipated event was a way to break the monotony of classroom instructions during the one-month conduct of the Common Module Phase of their training. The Ordnance Service emerged as the Over-all Champion besting the other departments.

Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac - On 27 May 2024, COL ALCON R MAGDAMIT GSC (QMS) PA, Director of the Sustainment Center, Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army, alongside his esteemed staffs, warmly welcomed COL DEXTER A MACASAET MNSA (QMS) PA, AC of S for Logistics, G4, Philippine Army, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker for the Opening Ceremony of the Career and Specialization Courses of the Sustainment Center for 2TP, CY 2024.

Before the commencement of the formal ceremonies, COL MACASAET enjoyed a simple breakfast with COL MAGDAMIT and his officers, fostering a sense of camaraderie and collaboration. Thereafter, COL MACASAET proceeded to render his call to MAJOR GENERAL LUIS REX D BERGANTE PA, Commander, TRADOC, PA.
In preparation for the event, LTC JIMMY P GUINANOY (QMS) PA, Logistics School Commandant, provided COL MACASAET with a briefing on the current status and future plans of the Center.

The highlight of the Opening Ceremony was COL MACASAET’s motivating speech. He urged the 769 students hailing from various units of the Philippine Army and other branches of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, including the Philippine Navy and Philippine Navy (Marines), to embrace every learning opportunity presented to them. Further, he encouraged the students to forge meaningful connections and networks that would not only facilitate their personal and professional growth but also contribute to the advancement of the organization.

COL MACASAET underscored the importance of leveraging their educational pursuits to propel the Philippine Army towards its vision of becoming a World-Class, Multi-Mission Ready, and Cross-Domain Capable Army.

Sustainment Center In-Processing 2TP, CY 2024

Camp O Donnell, Capas, Tarlac - On May 10, 2024, COL ALCON R MAGDAMIT QMS (GSC) PA, Director, Sustainment Center, Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army, led the conduct of Summing-up and After Course Review for 1st Training Period, Calendar Year 2024.

The said event was attended by the Center Staffs, Course Directorates, and other key NCOs of the Center. The three schools - Logistics School, Soldier Support School, and Health Service School, presented their challenges, insights, innovations and their recommendations for the improvement on the management of their respective courses. The Head of Non-Academic Department also presented the statistical data of PFT and PAWFT result of the students as well as the common illness that the students had during the training. Further, the Head of Research Development and Evaluation Department presented the result of Evaluation Survey to include the comments and suggestions of the students. Overall, the results indicate that students are satisfied with their Training Directorate, the knowledge they acquired, and the training facilities and other services provided by the Center. Finally, the Commandant of Logistics School presented a concept and framework to ensure that they address the findings for this training period and prevent them from recurring in future conduct of trainings.

Col Magdamit congratulated each personnel for their commendable participation in the successful conduct of the 1TP, CY-2024. He emphasized that the purpose of the activity is to reflect on strengths and areas for improvement, not only for the betterment of the organization but also for personal and professional growth. Moreover, he stressed that the activity is a means to revisit methodologies and best practices that contributed to the attainment of the Center's goals and objectives.

Camp O Donnell, Capas, Tarlac - Col Alcon R. Magdamit QMS (GSC) PA, Director, Sustainment Center, Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army, headed the awarding ceremony of students of 1st Training Period Calendar Year 2024 who showed exemplary performance during the duration of their training.

Col Magdamit reminded the students safeguard their career and be responsible for their personal and professional growth.

Another highlight of the activity is the pinning of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Occupational Specialty and Military Occupational Specialty badges to the students of 1TP, CY 2024. Col Magdamit also initiated the donning of ranks to the newly promoted students and organic personnel of Sustainment Center.

Camp O Donnell, Capas, Tarlac - Col Alcon R. Magdamit QMS (GSC) PA, Director, Sustainment Center, Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army, graced the opening of the 1st Training Term CY 2024 Sports Festival. This is initiated to break the monotony of the students’ academic lives after a month-long successive lectures and exams during their Common Module Phase.

With their combined scores in Cheer and Yell, Tug of War, Sack Race, Human Centipede, Swimming Relay, Volleyball and Basketball, the Ordnance Service emerged as the Overall Champion. But at the end of the day, it is not about the triumph over the other departments, but it is about the good bonds, camaraderie, and friendship they established.

A simple social and Induction of all Class Officer marked the end of this two-day event.

Camp O Donnell, Capas, Tarlac- Col Alcon R. Magdamit QMS (GSC) PA, Director, Sustainment Center, Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army, led the opening ceremony of Basic Officer Leadership Courses for 1st Training Term, Calendar Year 2024 composed of 28 students from Ordnance Service, 38 students from Quartermaster Service, 20 students from Adjutant General Service, and 15 students from Finance Service.

Col Magdamit emphasized to the new lieutenants to establish a good service reputation and good interpersonal relationship, for this is going to be their benchmark throughout their military career. Lastly, Col Magdamit stressed the importance of sustainment in military operations, so he encouraged the students to focus on their studies in order to contribute to the attainment of the Army’s mission.

Camp O Donnell, Capas, Tarlac- Col Alcon R. Magdamit QMS (GSC) PA, Director, Sustainment Center, Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army, graced the opening of the 3rd TC CY 2023 Sports Festival with the theme “Unleash the Athlete within: A Celebration of Strength, Unity, and Victory”.

This two-day event is a celebration as they end their Common Module Phase and freshen up before having their AFPOS Phase and a way to build friendship and camaraderie.

Students were grouped by departments with their respective colors. White is for the MS Department, Green for Quarter Master Service, Blue for Adjutant General Service, Yellow for Finance Service, and Red of Ordnance Service. These five teams battled for Banner Raising, Cheer and Yell, Tug of War, Sack Race, 100 Meter Relay, Badminton, Volleyball and Basketball where QMS emerged as the Overall Champion.

The event was concluded with the Induction of all Class Officers and a simple socials.
