The Tarlac State University National Service Training Program (NSTP) conferred 6,191 graduates during its graduation ceremony held on June 29, 2026, at the TSU Gymnasium.
With the theme "Serving with Purpose, Leading with Heart," the ceremony recognized 5,179 graduates from the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) and 1,012 graduates from the Literacy Training Service (LTS) across 105 sections.
Guest speaker Hon. Arron L. Villaflor, Board Member of the 2nd District of Tarlac, encouraged graduates to embrace failure as part of growth and personal development.
“Never [be] afraid to fail. It is the reason for us to be stronger; to grow as humans and as individuals…Dito tayo nagiging malakas. Dito tayo nagiging matalino. Ito ang mga pagkakataon na hindi natin dapat ikinahihiya," he said.
The ceremony continued with the recognition of 45 outstanding students from various colleges with the Leadership Award, followed by the presentation of certificates of completion.

Seeds of Hope: Growing Communities, Saving Lives, Building Values

In its continued commitment to community service and nation-building, the Tarlac State University National Service Training Program (NSTP) Office successfully spearheaded the outreach initiative "Seeds of Hope: Growing Communities, Saving Lives, Building Values" on June 24–25, 2026, in Sitio Tala and Sitio Maamot, San Jose, Tarlac. The activity was conducted in collaboration with the TSU College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) and the Center for Peace, Indigenous People Resources and Development (CPIPRD).

The two-day outreach program aimed to empower community members by equipping them with practical knowledge, essential life skills, and values that help build safer, healthier, and more resilient communities.

Participants actively took part in First Aid Training, where they learned basic emergency response techniques and life-saving skills applicable during accidents and disasters. The program also featured Values Formation Sessions that encouraged participants to strengthen their sense of responsibility, leadership, compassion, and community cooperation. To promote environmental stewardship and sustainability, the activity concluded with a Tree Planting Activity that symbolized hope, growth, and a shared commitment to protecting the environment for future generations.

In Sitio Tala, the outreach was attended by Parent-Teacher Support (PTS) members, tribal community members, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), and faculty members of Tala Elementary School, all of whom actively participated in the learning sessions and community activities. Meanwhile, in Sitio Maamot, the program engaged members of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines and the Girl Scouts of the Philippines, providing young participants with valuable knowledge and experiences that foster preparedness, service, and responsible citizenship.

More than a community outreach activity, Seeds of Hope served as a bridge between the university and the communities it serves. It created opportunities for meaningful engagement, knowledge sharing, and collaboration while empowering participants to become active contributors to the well-being and development of their communities.

Under the leadership of the TSU NSTP Office, together with the invaluable partnership of CASS and CPIPRD, the initiative exemplifies Tarlac State University's mission to develop socially responsible citizens and extend quality public service beyond the campus. As its name suggests, Seeds of Hope planted not only trees but also the seeds of compassion, resilience, volunteerism, and community empowerment—creating lasting impacts that will continue to grow in the years ahead.

The National Service Training Program (NSTP),
in collaboration with the Buklod-Diwa Organization, successfully conducted its annual gift-giving activity as part of its continuing commitment to community service and compassion.

Guided by the theme “Because Every Family Matters,” the “I (a)dopt You” Project aimed to share love, hope, and support with those in need while strengthening the spirit of bayanihan within the community.

A total of 30 families from Barangay San Roque, Tarlac City, along with 23 utility personnel, received gifts that brought smiles and warmth to their hearts.

This meaningful initiative reflects NSTP’s dedication to volunteerism, social responsibility, and service to others.✨💗
