During prolonged hot and dry weather, grass and weeds can become very dry and easier to ignite. Overgrown vegetation around a home or property can provide more fuel if a fire starts nearby.

Regularly trimming grass and weeds and clearing away the dried vegetation can help reduce potential fire fuel around your property.

A little yard maintenance can be part of fire prevention too.

The BFP Tarlac City Fire Station spearheaded by 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐌 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐙𝐀𝐑, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, under the supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐗𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐋 𝐏 𝐓𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐘𝐎, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, OPFM Tarlac and under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐑𝐘𝐀𝐍 𝐋 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐂𝐔𝐀𝐋, City Fire Marshal, successfully conducted a discussion on administrative matters.

The activity aimed to reinforce administrative policies, promote discipline and professionalism, and ensure the efficient delivery of public service.

The Bureau of Fire Protection Tarlac City Fire Station spearheaded by 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐌 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐙𝐀𝐑, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, under the supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐗𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐋 𝐏 𝐓𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐘𝐎, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, OPFM Tarlac and under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐑𝐘𝐀𝐍 𝐋 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐂𝐔𝐀𝐋, City Fire Marshal, successfully conducted a Rank Inspection to ensure that all personnel are properly wearing and displaying the ranks corresponding to their designated positions.

The activity aimed to uphold discipline, professionalism, uniformity, and compliance with organizational standards among fire service personnel. Through this inspection, the station reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a highly disciplined workforce capable of delivering efficient, responsive, and quality public service to the community.

FO1 Edward James M Pineda shared his knowledge and insights as the Troop Information and Education Speaker for the event.

As we raise the Philippine flag, we also raise our dedication to protecting lives and property, serving with integrity, and standing united as one team under one mission. The ceremony serves not only to honor our flag and country, but also to reinforce the core values that guide every firefighter in their daily service to the people of Tarlac City.

Pets also need access to plenty of clean drinking water during hot weather?

Dogs and cats can lose more water when temperatures are high, especially when they are active or spending time outdoors. Keeping fresh, clean drinking water available helps them stay hydrated.

During hot weather:

✅ Keep fresh drinking water available.
✅ Place their water bowl in a cool, shaded area.
✅ Refill and clean the bowl regularly.
✅ Avoid leaving pets in hot, poorly ventilated areas.
✅ Watch for unusual signs of heat stress.

Our pets can’t always tell us when they’re thirsty or too hot, so keeping water available is an important part of caring for them.
