THREE MOST WANTED PERSONS ARRESTED IN CARNAPPING, QUALIFIED R**E CASES

The Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested three wanted persons in separate operations in Laguna, Rizal, and Isabela from August 14 to 15, 2026, including a National Most Wanted Person of Region 4A and two Top 4 Regional Most Wanted Persons.

In Laguna, police arrested a National Most Wanted Person of Region 4A in Calamba City on August 14 by virtue of a warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act No. 10883, or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016. The accused is now under police custody.

In Rizal, a No. 4 Most Wanted Person of Police Regional Office 4A was arrested in Taytay on August 15 in connection with 24 counts of Qualified R**e. The accused remains in the custody of the Taytay Municipal Police Station.

Meanwhile, a No. 4 Most Wanted Person of Police Regional Office 2 was apprehended in Tumauini, Isabela, on August 15. The accused is facing five counts of Qualified R**e and is now under police custody.

Chief PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the arrests reflect the PNP’s sustained effort to locate wanted persons and ensure that court-issued processes are properly carried out.

“We will continue to locate wanted persons and bring them before the proper court. Hindi ito tungkol sa paghuhusga sa isang tao; tungkulin nating ipatupad ang legal na proseso at hayaan ang korte ang magpasya,” PGen Nartatez said.

The operations form part of the PNP’s Focused Agenda, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which calls for responsive and coordinated police action based on verified information and lawful procedures. These efforts support President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s call for stronger public safety and a justice system that works for the people.

The PNP will continue working with communities and other law enforcement units to locate wanted persons while ensuring that every arrest is carried out with due regard for the rights of the accused and the rule of law. This commitment is part of the “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman,” bringing police service closer to the people through responsible and accountable law enforcement.
