In a strong push for grassroots development and lasting peace, DILG Tarlac spearheaded a dynamic two-day (June 3-4, 2026) Orientation on the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) for the province's target barangays. Setting a unified vision, DILG Tarlac Provincial Director Zotico Gerson A. Villanueva, Jr., EnP., CESO V, alongside Assistant Regional Director Jay E. Timbreza, CESO IV, representing Regional Director Araceli A. San Jose, CESO III, ignited the event by emphasizing the vital role of local leaders. Following a comprehensive overview by the Provincial Focal Person, the 7th Infantry "Kaugnay" Division of the Philippine Army delivered a critical security briefing, seamlessly connecting peace initiatives with community progress.

Transitioning from security to sustainable planning, DILG experts equipped participants with actionable governance tools. LGOO VII Lerrie S. Hernandez, En.P., demystified the Enhanced RCSP Guidelines and eBDP steps, while LGOO IV Llhoyd B. Parungao anchored the session on Support to the Barangay Development Program (SBDP). To ensure readiness, LGOO II Angelique Fe G. Valenzuela steered the hands-on 2026 RCSP Action Planning.

After a thorough synthesis by the Secretariat, Cluster Team Leader LGOO VII Dennis A. Daquiz officially closed the high-impact activity. By transforming security insights into concrete developmental plans, DILG Tarlac reaffirms its brand of "Matino, Mahusay, at Maaasahan" governance, ensuring no community is left behind in building a resilient and progressive Central Luzon.

Marking a significant milestone in its relentless campaign against illegal drugs, the Provincial Government of Tarlac (PGT) in close coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Tarlac, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Tarlac, and the Department of Health (DOH) Tarlac, proudly celebrated the graduation of local participants from the Rollout of the Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP) Basic Program.

In his keynote message, DILG Tarlac Provincial Director Zotico Gerson A. Villanueva, Jr., CESO V, commended the graduates for their resilience and determination to transform their lives. He emphasized that their recovery is not just a personal victory, but a vital contribution to building Healthier, Safer, and Drug-Free Barangays across the province.

PD Villanueva also expressed his deepest gratitude to the Provincial Government of Tarlac, under the visionary leadership of Governor Hon. Christian Tell A. Yap and its provincial officials. He noted that PGT's unwavering support and seamless coordination have been the backbone of the program's success.

This strong inter-agency partnership underscores a shared provincial vision: establishing sustained peace, order, and wellness starting at the very heart of local neighborhoods.

The DILG Tarlac Provincial Office and DILG Regional Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU), in close coordination with the Municipal Government of Anao, successfully conducted a joint site validation for the Construction of the Farm-to-Market Road (Guerrero Road) in Barangay Baguindoc, Anao, Tarlac. Funded under the F.Y. 2026 Local Government Support Fund - Growth Equity Fund (LGSF-GEF) with a generous allocation of PHP 25,000,000.00, this critical infrastructure project is designed to drive rural development and significantly uplift the community's local transport network.

The joint evaluation was spearheaded by the DILG Tarlac Provincial Office team, which included LGOO VII Dennis A. Daquiz, LGOO VI Henrielle Justeene A. Tuliao (MLGOO-Anao), and PEO II Engr. Benjamin V. Granil II, together with the PDMU Regional Office team led by PDMU Assistant Chief Mark Kennedy S. Tungol, Engr. III Michael Jofred P. Doria, Engr. II Arenz Josua B. Manabat, and PEO II Reignchil Kraizz A. Bactad. Demonstrating strong local counterpart support, Municipal Mayor Hon. Gian Pierre O. De Dios alongside the personnel from the Anao Department of Engineering actively participated in the site inspection.

More Grace for the Humble

Life often teaaches us to rely on our strength, abilities, and achievements. Yet this verse reminds us that God's favor rests not on the proud, but in the humble. Humility is recognizing our need for God and acknowledging that every blessing, success, and opportunity comes from Him.

When we face challenges, God's answer is not always immediate removal of the burden, but the gift of more grace, the strength, wisdom, and peace we need to endure and overcome. The humble heart receives this grace throught willingness to depend on God rather than self.
