Another milestone for the youth of Barangay Poblacion! The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Poblacion is proud to celebrate the participation and achievements of our young representatives during Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, held on August 22 to 23, 2026.

Our youth stepped up and represented Poblacion in different activities, from academics and public speaking to arts, traditional games, and performing arts.

𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺: 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗼𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗹𝗮 🍽️

As part of the Nutrition Month Celebration, the Sangguniang Kabataan Council of Poblacion, Tayum, successfully carried out its annual Feeding Program in partnership with the Poblacion Daycare Center.

This yearly initiative reflects the SK's continued commitment to promoting proper nutrition and supporting the health and well-being of young children. More than providing meals, the program serves as a reminder of the importance of investing in the growth and development of the younger generation.

Through initiatives like this, we hope to inspire a community that values the health, happiness, and bright future of every child.

𝐒𝐊'𝐬 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬, 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐬!🍲

With the initiative of SK Chairperson Krizlee Dumlao together with SK Kagawad Mary Rose Tarona the Food Committee Chairperson, and with the assistance of SK Kagawad Royette Lazaro, SK Kagawad Charlotte Tagura, and SK Secretary Jaztine Saturinas, the 𝙋𝙖-𝙨𝙤𝙥𝙖𝙨 𝙣𝙞 𝙄𝙨𝙠𝙞 program lit up Nutrition Month.
Even under the rain, the SK showed that service never stops, proving that good food knows no weather. Every bowl carried nourishment, care, and the spirit of bayanihan, reminding us that when leaders and volunteers work hand in hand, the community truly thrives.🩷

The 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙖 𝙋𝙪𝙠𝙨𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙈𝙤 Project, launched last July 16, 2026 in collaboration with Holy Ghost School and Tayum Central School. Initiated through the efforts of Environmental Committee Kagawad Jude Tarona, with the support of SK Chair Krizlee Dumlao and the SK Council. This initiative reflects our commitment to empower the youth in leading sustainable practices, instilling discipline in waste management, and nurturing a culture of care for our community and environment.

With every student inspired, we move closer to a cleaner, greener future, proof that when the youth lead, change truly begins.🌱

The distribution of the Cash for Scholars One-Time Financial Incentive was successfully conducted on June 28, 2026, at the Tayum Gymnasium, providing financial assistance to qualified student beneficiaries in support of their educational journey.

The activity marked another milestone in the commitment of the Sangguniang Kabataan Poblacion to promote educational opportunities and extend meaningful support to the youth. Through this initiative, beneficiaries received their one-time financial incentive, which may help ease educational expenses and encourage them to continue pursuing their academic goals.

The Sangguniang Kabataan Poblacion extends its heartfelt congratulations to all beneficiaries and expresses its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful implementation of the program. May this assistance serve not only as financial support but also as motivation to strive for academic excellence and continue making a positive impact in the community.

𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐊𝐊 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly was successfully held on June 28, 2026, at the Tayum Gymnasium, providing an avenue for the youth of Barangay Poblacion to stay informed about the initiatives of the Sangguniang Kabataan and to actively participate in discussions concerning their community.

The assembly was attended by seven (7) members of the Sangguniang Kabataan Council, namely: Hon. Krizlee Alona V. Dumlao (SK Chairperson), Hon. Royette T. Lazaro (SK Kagawad), Hon. John Russel B. Tadeo (SK Kagawad), Hon. Charlotte Claire E. Tagura (SK Kagawad), Hon. Mary Rose R. Tarona (SK Kagawad), Hon. Cathlyn E. Gallardo (SK Kagawad), and Ms. Jaztine Bhea P. Saturinas (SK Secretary). Meanwhile, Hon. Ma. Demie Mei C. Bernal (SK Kagawad), Hon. Jude R. Tarona (SK Kagawad), and Hon. Christian Joe T. Bernal (SK Treasurer) were unable to attend due to prior commitments.

During the assembly, the Sangguniang Kabataan Poblacion presented a brief report on the utilization of the SK Fund, providing an overview of how the budget was allocated across various programs, projects, activities, and other youth-centered initiatives. This was followed by the presentation of the accomplishments of the 2025–2026 term, highlighting the programs, projects, and initiatives that have been carried out in service of the youth.

The assembly also served as an open forum where members of the Katipunan ng Kabataan were given the opportunity to raise concerns, ask questions, and share valuable insights regarding existing and future SK programs. Their active participation and feedback reaffirmed the importance of collaboration in building initiatives that genuinely address the needs of the youth.

As a token of appreciation for the active participation of the KK members, an 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞 was held at the conclusion of the assembly. The winners of one ream of bond paper were Janna Dionello, Jairus Zapata, and Niña De Dios, while the winners of the flash drives were Lisa Tadeo and Rhowena Tugadi.

The Sangguniang Kabataan Poblacion extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the assembly. Every voice, concern, and suggestion shared is a valuable step toward creating more responsive and meaningful programs for the youth.

To all members of the Katipunan ng Kabataan, your participation is always encouraged in future assemblies. Your presence goes beyond attendance—it is an opportunity to stay informed, make your voice heard, and take part in shaping programs and initiatives that will benefit the youth of Barangay Poblacion.
