A key informant interview focusing on the chicken egg value chain in Teresa, Rizal was successfully conducted on July 29, 2026, by representatives from the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP), in coordination with the staff of the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist (OMA) of Teresa and the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian.

The key informants included representatives from Coral Agri-Venture Farm, Inc., as well as local chicken egg wholesalers and retailers in the municipality.

The interview served as a data collection activity for the DA-PRDP's value chain analysis of the chicken egg industry. The findings will help identify gaps in logistics, production, marketing, and distribution, enabling the Department to develop appropriate interventions and support programs that will strengthen the local egg industry and improve its overall competitiveness.

Ngayong araw, July 27, 2026 - agad na tumugon ang Office of the Municipal Agriculturist sa isang ulat ng magsasaka mula sa Brgy. Prinza hinggil sa isang baka na may malalim na sugat na pinaghihinalaang dulot ng pagkakatusok.

Sa isinagawang pag-assess ng staff ng OMA, tinatayang nasa dalawang linggo na ang sugat, na may kasamang pamamaga at bahagyang infestation ng mga uod (maggots).

Alinsunod sa rekomendasyon ng Office of the Provincial Veterinarian, isinagawa ang naaangkop na paggamot sa pamamagitan ng pag-inject ng Amoxicillin at Ivermectin. Nilinis din ang sugat at isinpreyhan ng Combinex upang maiwasan ang pagdapo ng mga langaw at iba pang insekto na maaaring magdulot ng karagdagang impeksyon.

Matapos ang pagbibigay ng lunas, naobserbahang maayos ang sigla at pangkalahatang kondisyon ng baka. Magpapatuloy ang regular na monitoring ng aming tanggapan upang matiyak ang tuluyang paggaling at patuloy na kapakanan ng hayop.

Patuloy na nakahanda ang Office of the Municipal Agriculturist na magbigay ng agarang serbisyo at teknikal na suporta sa ating mga magsasaka para sa kalusugan at kapakanan ng kanilang mga alagang hayop.
