A Day to Remember: A Culminating Activity in MAPEH

Today marked a vibrant and unforgettable celebration as students came together for the much-anticipated culminating activity in MAPEH (Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health). The event showcased not only the learners’ talents and creativity but also their confidence and teamwork, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

One of the highlights of the day was a dazzling and stunning showcase of student attire. Participants confidently walked and presented themselves in carefully prepared outfits that reflected their individuality, cultural appreciation, and artistic expression. From elegant gowns and formal wear to bold and creative designs, each student brought something unique to the stage, creating a colorful display of fashion and personality.

Adding more excitement to the event were the students’ prepared dance presentations. The audience was captivated by graceful performances such as the *cotillon de honor*, where pairs of students elegantly executed synchronized movements, showcasing discipline, coordination, and poise. Other dance numbers followed, featuring a mix of traditional and modern styles that highlighted the students’ versatility and passion for performing arts.

Cheers and applause filled the venue as each group delivered their performances with confidence and energy. Teachers and spectators admired the hard work, dedication, and teamwork demonstrated by the students in both their attire and dance routines.

Behind the success of the event were the dedicated individuals who worked tirelessly to make it possible. Mark D. Sta. Maria, the MAPEH teacher, played a vital role in guiding and preparing the students for their performances. Alongside him was John Arjay Sedenio, who served as the event organizer, ensuring that every detail of the program flowed smoothly. Completing the team was Rizzalyn A. Abiog, who gracefully hosted the event as the master of ceremony, keeping the program lively, organized, and engaging for everyone.

More than just a showcase, the culminating activity became a meaningful celebration of learning and growth in MAPEH. It emphasized the importance of self-expression, cultural appreciation, physical fitness, and collaboration.

Indeed, it was a day to remember—one that celebrated not only style and elegance but also the vibrant talent, creativity, and unity of every student involved.

Banga High School Participates in Simultaneous Fire and Earthquake Drill under Project LEADERS

Students, teachers, and school personnel of Banga High School actively participated in the Simultaneous Fire and Earthquake Drill held on March 9, 2026, as part of the National Simultaneous Activity and Implementation Drill (NSAID) under the implementation of Project LEADERS.

The activity aimed to strengthen disaster preparedness and promote safety awareness among learners and staff in case of emergencies such as earthquakes and fire incidents. The drill simulated a real-life emergency scenario, allowing participants to practice the proper safety protocols and evacuation procedures.

At exactly the scheduled time, the earthquake drill began with the alarm signal, prompting students and teachers to perform the standard “Drop, Cover, and Hold” procedure inside their classrooms. After the shaking simulation, learners calmly proceeded to their designated evacuation areas following the guidance of teachers and emergency response teams.

Immediately after the earthquake simulation, a fire drill was conducted to demonstrate the proper response during a fire emergency. Designated school safety officers led the evacuation while ensuring that all classrooms and facilities were cleared. The school’s emergency response team also demonstrated the proper use of fire extinguishers and basic fire safety practices.

The activity was proposed by German D. Marantal V and Jane M. Bitara as part of the initiatives under Project LEADERS to enhance disaster preparedness within the school community. The successful conduct of the activity was spearheaded by the School Head, Alicia B. Chavez, who emphasized the importance of preparedness and coordinated response during emergencies.

School administrators emphasized that the drill is an important component of disaster risk reduction and management in schools. Through the implementation of Project LEADERS, the school continues to promote leadership, preparedness, and coordinated response among students and staff during emergencies.
