ROAD ADVISORY |

Alinsunod sa Memorandum Circular No. 122, walang pasok sa mga tanggapan ng pamahalaan at klase sa lahat ng antas ngayong Agosto 6, 2026 (Huwebes), kabilang ang Municipality of Tinglayan.

Gayunman, ang mga tanggapan na nagbibigay ng mahahalagang serbisyo tulad ng health services, disaster response, at iba pang emergency services ay mananatiling bukas at handang maglingkod.

Inaanyayahan ang lahat na manatiling ligtas, maging maingat, at patuloy na subaybayan ang mga opisyal na anunsyo para sa iba pang mahahalagang abiso.

ADVISORY | SUSPENSION OF CLASSES

In view of the continuous heavy rains brought about by Typhoon Maymay and the declaration of Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 over Tinglayan, Kalinga, classes at ALL LEVELS in the Municipality of Tinglayan are hereby SUSPENDED on August 6, 2026, until further notice.

This measure is being implemented to ensure the safety and welfare of our learners, teachers, and school personnel.

We strongly encourage everyone to remain vigilant, avoid unnecessary travel, and continuously monitor official advisories from PAGASA, the MDRRMO, and the Municipal Government of Tinglayan for further updates.

The newlyweds were 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐚𝐲𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐈𝐝𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐲 of Mar-o, Bugnay, Tinglayan, Kalinga, son of Mr. Uppot Tilap Idchay and Ms. Helen Wacnang Gunday. His bride, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐋𝐨𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐳𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭 of Gaang, Tanudan, Kalinga, is the daughter of Mr. Tamano Banna Baglinit and Ms. Diana Balunsit Balansi.

Also united in marriage were 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐩𝐢𝐬 𝐎𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐭 of Ngibat, Tinglayan, Kalinga, son of Mr. Andres Dantog Ongat and Ms. Esther Botalan Edpis. His bride, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐧 of San Pedro, Tabuk City, Kalinga, is the daughter of Mr. Tomas Suyam Labbutan and Ms. Virgie Wayagwag Paclay.

Another couple was 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐘𝐚𝐠-𝐚𝐨 𝐀𝐭𝐦𝐚 of Ngibat, Tinglayan, Kalinga, son of Mr. Sapli Gayudan Atma and Ms. Romana Busaiya Yag-ao. His bride, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐘𝐳𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐥 of Hilltop, Agbannawag, Tabuk City, is the daughter of Mr. Edward Suwan Sagawil and Ms. Maricel Gawang Sabawil.

And the last newlyweds were 𝐌𝐫. 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐛𝐛𝐨𝐤 𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫 of Ngibat, Tinglayan, Kalinga, son of Mr. John Ebolwang Bador and Ms. Lorna Banatao Abbok. His bride, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐚-𝐨𝐠 𝐓𝐨𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐩 of Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga, is the daughter of Mr. Jimmy Pa-ut Toclap and Ms. Marilyn Maciba Sola-og.

During the ceremony, Mayor Charles A. Abay reminded the couples that marriage is more than a celebration—it is a lifelong commitment that calls for love, trust, sacrifice, patience, and unwavering faith. He encouraged the newlyweds to choose one another every day, to face life's challenges hand in hand, to forgive one another with sincere hearts, and to celebrate every blessing with gratitude. He further emphasized that a home built on respect, understanding, and God-centered values will remain strong through every season of life. Pastor Andy Angdason also shared the Word of God and offered a prayer of blessing, asking the Lord to guide, protect, and bless each couple with wisdom, strength, and enduring love throughout their married life.

The meaningful celebration was witnessed by the couples' parents, families, relatives, friends, ninongs, and ninangs, whose presence made the occasion even more memorable. The sponsors likewise shared heartfelt advice and personal experiences, encouraging the newlyweds to remain faithful to their vows and to nurture a marriage founded on love, respect, forgiveness, and unwavering commitment.

𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻, 𝗗𝗢𝗟𝗘 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗧𝗨𝗣𝗔𝗗 𝗛𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀

The Local Government Unit of Tinglayan, under the leadership of Mayor Charles A. Abay, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment–CAR, spearheaded the TUPAD Habagat Orientation under the national Bagong Pilipinas initiative. This program is designed to provide emergency employment opportunities for residents affected by Typhoons Crising, Dante, and Emong.

A total of 565 beneficiaries from Barangays Basao, Dananao, Ngibat, Old Tinglayan, and Sumadel 1 attended the orientation. They will soon be engaged in community-based work for 10 days, with each worker receiving ₱505 per day. Beneficiaries are reminded to await the official Notice to Proceed (NTP) before starting their tasks to ensure safe and organized implementation.

The orientation was facilitated by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), with Ma’am Bonalyn Ewad serving as the PESO designate for Tinglayan. Her office continues to play a vital role in connecting disadvantaged workers to government employment programs and ensuring that assistance reaches the grassroots level.

Representing the DOLE Kalinga Field Office, headed by Director Avelina Manganip, was Ms. Jessa Alicog, who underscored the strong collaboration between the municipal and provincial offices. Their presence highlighted the shared commitment to deliver inclusive and responsive livelihood initiatives for affected communities.

During the program, Mayor Charles A. Abay shared a message about the importance of TUPAD, representing Pastor Andy Angdason, and emphasized the LGU’s dedication to supporting disadvantaged workers. This orientation, part of the August 2025 listing, reflects Tinglayan’s mission to provide sustainable livelihood assistance and foster resilience in the face of natural calamities.

📢 Come and donate blood! The Municipal Blood Donation Activity is ongoing until 4:00 PM today at the Rural Health Unit (RHU) Building. All eligible donors are encouraged to participate and help save lives.

The Municipality of Tinglayan, under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Charles A. Abay, is conducting the Municipal Blood Donation Activity in partnership with the Municipal Health Office of Tinglayan and the Philippine Red Cross – Kalinga Chapter. The initiative aims to ensure an adequate supply of safe blood for patients in need of emergency care, surgeries, and other medical treatments.

The activity has drawn the participation of government employees, uniformed personnel, barangay officials, teachers, and community volunteers who have generously offered to donate blood in support of this humanitarian cause. Their selfless act reflects the community's spirit of compassion and unity.
